Camp? In other times, he'd have been appearing along side Hattie Jacques in the Carry Ons!

Is there really anything more to him than his sexuality? Let's hope so because that really is a tiny part of him.
Anyway, it's made me decide I do want Richard to stay to piss him off.

Does calling Michael a twat or a cunt make him less masculine?

Does calling Michael a twat or a cunt make him less masculine? I think he'd prefer 'knob' or 'tosser'.

That argument so annoyed me.
Partly because Michael is just over-reacting way too much, partly as it allows all the others to become rubbish amateur psychologists about sexuality, partly as it is a stupid argument, partly as Michael is right in one way because he is a man and a gay and it is only part of his personality, partly as Richard is right in another because Michael is camp but it shouldn't be a big deal, partly as gays in Big Brother can't seem to get on with each other at all and mostly because of the question "are you top or bottom?"
EVERYONE KNOWS IT'S BEST TO FLIP-FLOP.
Fuck sake.

Don't shout at me, but...
I have a bit of sympathy toward Michael really. I think if he was 18 it would be easier to understand, but I know that when I was first out with other gays some of the outrageous campness did get to me a little, there's that fear of 'I don't want to be a freak like ONE OF THEM!' Of course, as time goes by such worries soon fade and I'm happily queening it up twice a week (not literally) but, given that Michael was possibly not fully out before he went into the house, I can understand why he's so anxious to be portrayed as 'normal'. It's odd that he should have such hangups at his age, but I think it's just indicative of more deep-seated anxieties about others' reactions to him outside of the house.
Whatever happened to the BB psychologists?

Don't shout at me, but... Whatever happened to the BB psychologists? They are only let out once a week to do a tedious lie detector test on that weeks evictee. Otherwise I imagine it would be hard to fit an analisis of this year's contestnats into one show - they would have a field day. I find Michael really scary - irrespective of who he is arguing with, or what its about, he can't take people disagreeing with him without flipping out - which when living in a confined space with some extremely annoying people cannot be good.

When's the lie detector test?! I clearly don't watch my BB spin off shows well enough.

I think all people in Big Brother can't take people disagreeing with them. I'm sure that's part of the pre-show psychological profiling.
I agree with Bungle (!) about Michael, I do sympathise to an extant - but I think last night showed that he hasn't made an effort with Richard, whereas Richard at least tried.

When's the lie detector test?! I clearly don't watch my BB spin off shows well enough. On Big Brother's Big Brain on Monday nights, around eleven o'clock I think. I've only seen it about twice as I keep forgetting to watch it, but I don't think we're missing much. This week, it was revealed that (gasp) Nikki does not really love Pete. I still miss the sunday night psychologist show.

The lie detector test is shit. The psychologist is clearly making it up as they go along. One minute the line going up means a lie, the next it means the truth.

Apparently he has "come out" as a born again christian. Oh. I did feel a bit sorry for him when he repeatedly asked Richard not to call him she, and then Richard managed to call him "she" about 12 times in a minute. I understand not wanting to be defined by one's sexuality, it makes sense to me. As a straight woman I have never felt the need to relay that information to anyone, whereas my lesbian friend always anxiously awaits the time to reveal and tends to blurt it out. She's not ashamed, she's proud of who she is, but still feels that it's something to be told asap in case it changes things. I've probably gone off on a tangent but it does strike me that no two people are ever the same, and Dicky and Michael should no more be expected to get on than Dicky and Imogen.

I thought he came out as Christ himself a while ago - 'I am god!' he loudly proclaimed in all seriousness whilst talking the kind of pantheistic twaddle that makes me wish for the existence of a proper old-school old-testament ass-kicking mean bastard of a god, ready to throw a thunderbolt Michael's way for this kind of blasphemy.

I couldn't help feeling Michael almost redeemed himself yesterday when Richard's letter was read out, and he showed a streak of humility: "I feel ashamed".
Unfortunately, in his Davina interview, he threw it all away by taking the clips he was shown of him and Richard at face value: of course BB would concentrate on the conflict - it made better tv. He lost the humility straight away and because of what he was shown it all went back to being Richard's fault. Arse.
