This is actually my favourite task yet - proof that you don't need to be cruel to get some entertainment value! I actually like seeing them all happy and huggy for once.

I don't think the "huggy" part of it is going to last... there's something about a prison isn't there?
Anyway, this is a joyous opportunity to ditch Glyn and Mikey. Oh please.

Are Big Brother actually trying to get rid of the best characters in the house? If Aisleyne goes because of this I will be very angry!

I'm hoping for Spoiroil and Micheal to go!

Me too. Spoiral is just unbearable to watch now. I loved Glyn's comment on his rapping, it is true though, he is shit.

Hmm what's interesting is that some people who would normally go on the basis of nominations (i.e. Richard) have unwittingly immunised themselves against eviction by pairing up with a non-hated person. I think that Spiral and Michael may go.
I loved Pete's song about Richard, please tell me that someone has "ripped" it and put in on the internet? Or even just transcribed the lyrics?

That song for an electroclash chart-storming Number One surely?
Also: this task is fantastic. As far as I can tell, they nominate in their friendship pairs and then peeps are up for nomination as normal. Whoever is evicted is kicked out, along with their best friend.
I'm hoping Spiral and Michael will go. Richard / Pete would be very interesting, but a shame I think.

Dawn was in the papers last week (I think it was the Daily Star which I was reading at the barbers), backing the claims that the entire show is fixed this year. She was on about her being held against her will, then being disqualified after she'd told them she was leaving etc. She then went on to say that the show was being carefully manipulated to get people out BB didn't want to win (eg Nikki), others put in (eg Susie) and she wouldn't be surprised if something would happen before the end to see Pete evicted. The tone of the piece (which I only really scanned) was that there may be some kind of betting fix where the least likely person would end up winning.
I really haven't watched much of the show since Nikki left so wondered how the 'friends' thing had been chosen. Did they choose who to pair up with, was it random, or did BB decide? If it's a case of Richard always being up for eviciton of late and him being paired with Pete, I'd be very suspicious.

They chose their own partner and I think that they have no idea that it's a double eviction this week, they may have guessed, but I doubt they'd be that perceptive. Hmm mind you when they were choosing, Susie said, a few times, "Dickie are you going with Pete?" She's a plant! It's a conspiracy! Etc!

Imogen's singing was brilliant and Richard's face was pricless. Forget Pete, this has to be the greatest BB musical moment since Michelle's 'rendition' of Pie Jesu.

This morning I stayed in the house late, risking an unhealthy dose of late-to-workness, in order to watch the repeat, as I missed this all last night. It was all so class. Spiral getting so annoyed at his xylophone and then doing a rap that a ten year old would be embarrassed by, Pete unexpectedly doing some kind of song about taking a load to the face (with Spiral looking appalled at how much better it was than his effort), Imogen 'singing around the notes' and Ash's bongo oddyssey...
These recent tasks have been absolute gold, and the reduction in bitching has most definitely *improved* the entertainment of the show. I'd well had enough and now things are quieter, BB seems fun rather than maddening.

I've been saying that for years - BB is at its best when they're all having a laugh. Constant arguments stress viewers out, and doesn't make for pleasant watching.
I loved Imogen and Sooz talking, in the diary room, about being "best friends". Imogen trills about how great Sooz is. Sooz is polite but sceptical, thinking "Oh, I've had your sort at the Country Club. All sweetness-and-light when your husband is trying to be golf captain, but I know you're bitching about my hair behind my back".
Sooz is savvy.

You mean, it's like Electro Boy/Electro Girl?
They should've released that as well. Someone should persuade the Boosh to put a full version on iTunes or something.

This task has definitely made BB watchable again; for a couple of weeks I'd stopped watching it cuz it was getting so tedious. I still hate Mikey and Glyn though. And has Jenny done ANYTHING of interest other than looking a bit like early Cheryl Tweedy?
Pete's song was sincerely amazing.

I loved Susie's reaction when Pete was singing. Ha! And I just about lost it when he was all "D! I! C! K! He! Is! A big! Gay!" He's actually a pretty good singer! I thought he might've beatboxed for a bit, so that was the only disappointing bit.
I'm torn between wanting Imogen and Susie out (because they're boring) or Michael and Spoiral out (because they're annoying), I cannot decide! It's quite an opportunity - I wouldn't be sorry to see either pair go.
