I'm sure I read in the papers they were filming six (yes 6!) endings for this storyline. Its clearly Tracey though, and I bet she gets away with it ala Eric Pollard.

I bet it'll be a huge let down. Possibly an accidental death or something equally dreary. However, death by Blanche would be excellent (even though it sounds like some kind of dessert)
Nothing, in terms of camp and drama, could top Barren Karen's departure the other year though

I am reliably informed that it's Tracey. Non-shock!

As long as it's not David I'm not too fussed. There is no way that he should be allowed the glory of killing Charlie who is my current favorite soap villain.
It would be ace if it were Ken though. He hasn't properly lost his temper since the 70s - surely it's time for him to find his inner rage (which he must have loads of living with Blanche, Deidre and (sometimes) Tracey).

I'm sure I read in the papers they were filming six (yes 6!) endings for this storyline. I never believe them when they say they're filming two so they haven't helped the suspense by just making it more. Especially since its obviously going to be Tracey. Unfortunately they'll probably spend about a year dragging the court case out.

Um. Should this whole thread not be a spoiler? Last I looked, Stubbs is alive and kicking.

They could do a Who Raped Charlie Stubbs storyline and reduce a serious subject matter to ratings grabbing titillation like they did with Toyah Battersby.

But I don't understand why Coronation Street got it in the arm for pushing the "who raped Toyah?" storyline when it was deemed thoroughly acceptable for EastEnders to run "who shot Phil?" shortly beforehand.
Yes, rape is not nice (unless you live in Hollyoaks, in which case sometimes it is, apparently), but attempted murder's hardly a laugh a minute either.

Yes, but Toyah was a nice person.
And they didn't introduce a character into EastEnders a month or two beforehand in order to run the storyline without the outcome affecting the proper cast in any way whatsoever. (I know this wasn't the main argument at the time, but it was still extremely shit.)

I can't watch Shameless without thinking Marty's about to rape someone. :- (

Apparently Claire is involved in some way. Hence this weird friendship thing they've got going on at the moment. Apparently it all makes sense around February. Or something.

Hasn't Tracy made friends with Claire in order to get people on side as part of her plan to convince everyone that she is undergoing the same kind of abuse from Charlie that Shelley suffered? Although I'm pretty sure it's coming I really hope they don't go down the killing Charlie route. I like the whole thing Tracey is doing and would find it much more rewarding seeing Charlie leaving the show a broken man because of this than the increasingly tedious soup route of killing the baddie and then drawing it out with the even more tedious and generally anti-climactic 'who did it'.
