I wanted this 'psychology' show last night and found it painful. Isn't it the same thing Dermot did last year, only longer and with Davina?
There was just something very uncomfortable about it. She sat way too close to the first expert, who came over as being quite creepy. And the audience didn't seem to know whether to laugh or be serious.
Most of the show was a recap of what had happened over the previous 2 days with Davina voicing over Marcus's lines.
Even the lovely Thom-as seemed weird.

If they only had material for a 30 minute show, why didn't they make it a 30 min show? The recaps were really annoying and pointless.

They should just have a half hour show with Judy James each week. I love Judy. I want her to team up with Kate Marlow for something.

The recaps of the previous highlights show were indeed pointless.
I don't give much credit to these Big Brother psychology shows anyway. They're just yet another vehicle for Endemol to try and influence Big Brother viewers on which housemates they should and shouldn't like. In BB7 the psychology show pretty much said Aisleyne was inherently evil week after week, up until it came to voting for the winner and money was to be made from positive voting. The psychology show then said Aisleyne was actually just misunderstood.... which was of course nothing to do with them.
But worse was to come with the last Celebrity Big Brother when just before the shit hit the fan they did a psychology show that said the whole conflict between Shilpa and Jade et al was all Shilpa's fault.

Is Kate Marlow the brown haired lady who you always think hates the person she's talking to and could snap at any moment?
If so I love her. And Judy James, who isn't as scary

It's this kind of show that's responsible for a million bloody 'alpha male' psuedo-psychological bullshit analyses from people who think they are very clever but are actually about as clever as a glass of milk with a very small sausage floating in it. In fact don't they have one expert whose job is just to say 'alpha male' to Davina over and over again?? Grrrrrraaaaaaaarrrrghhhhh!!!

Still rubbish. This is only worth watching for Dr Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic. He is the sex.

Cherubic and I were just commenting on this IN THE CHATROOM.
Grace was so insightful. "We didn't milk it, we just did a few photo shoots and got on with our own thing and bought a house and we're getting married". And of course Mikey was so busy doing his own thing he couldn't drive down from Liverpool to see her after she was viciously and violently assaulted by a gay with a mobile phone.
Her hair looked stupid as well.

Yes because only doing a "few" photo shoots was your idea and not because after a few weeks no-one cares about ex Big Brother housemates any more. And why was Davina asking her what she'd recommend because her & Mikey had made their relationship last anyway? The only reason Grace was on is because every other BB relationship has split up and quite a few of them managed to make it to a year & some got as far as marriage and kids.

The woman who was on first talking about what you can do with a paper clip just seems to be making it up as she went along.
Well more so than the rest of them

I don't give much credit to these Big Brother psychology shows anyway. They're just yet another vehicle for Endemol to try and influence Big Brother viewers on which housemates they should and shouldn't like. Today we saw Amy doing an impression of Amanda, who she's quite close to in the house followed by her requesting toilet roll because the halfway housemates haven't got any of the ones with housemates faces on it. Helpfully the psychologist points out this means though she is friends with Amanda, because Amanda is competition for Liam AMY ACTUALLY DOESN'T LIKE AMANDA AND HAS JUST SAID SHE WANTS TO FLUSH AMANDA DOWN THE TOILET. And Davina, just because at the end you go "oh by the way I feel really sorry for Amy" doesn't mean we can't spot what you're doing.

What got me was Amy doing a fairly accurate impression of Amanda (Hi, I'm vacuous and pull my hair a lot, but I still care) was 'really nasty', but Brian absoloutely laying into Amy was 'so insightful, so true'.
I fucking hate fucking Brian. Stupid twat.
Obviously I hate Endemol as well, but who doesn't nowadays.

I still like the show, even though i agree that it pushes housemates to you.
I thought that about Brian, that Amy was 'agressive' and yet he was 'hilarious'

That was so idiotic. And why the fuck would Amy want to flush Amanda down the toilet? Amanda is one of the few housemates that has welcomed her into the house. It reminded me of when they tried to justify the bullying of Shilpa Shetty. It’s like, if the housemates treat someone unfairly, they have to make it seem like they deserve it, so the public doesn’t hate too many housemates at once. I like how Brian gets to be an innocent man-child, and the most articulate, astute housemate that tells us all what we should be thinking. I don't hate him, but I certainly don't love him. And they can't make me!

Why Amy has become the scapegoat for that stupid "swapping the housemates back" twist is beyond me, especially as the only name she suggested- Gerry- didn't get chosen and everyone else's choices were used.
I wonder if the obvious hatchet job of Amy will work? It didn't with Shilpa, but the "Shilpa deserves it" psychology show was particularly pathetic. They basically said that the sole reason for Shilpa's treatment by Jade and her cronies was because Shilpa held their hands.
Johann Harri was annoying as well. I saw an article he did a few days ago for The Independent about how Brian and Chanelle represent the declining education standards in Britain. Whether they do or not, the two examples he used to base this on were Brian claiming not to know who Shakespeare was and Chanelle apparently thinking dinosaurs could be kept as pets. Brian's Shakespeare thing has been pretty much confirmed as a fraud by his own mother, friends and ex-headmaster, and Chanelle's dinosaur comment was when she and the twins were talking about what would happen if they somehow managed to clone dinosaurs- they were just yakking about bullshit because they were bored.

To be fair to Johann whether Channelle and Brian know dinosaurs are dead and Shakespeare wrote plays they're still remarkably stupid.
Whatever Davina and her cronies try to tell us.

I would have thought the point of Amy's loo roll thing was a dig at BB:'all the others have their own loo roll, why don't we?' And she said Jonty and Amy don't have their own loo roll, but forgot about Stripehead. Now that surely is something worthy of discussion?
I hate the way BB are all omgz we lufs brian! Brian ftw! BBLB and the Couch thing are both really badly biased at this, and it seems to be working-I know some normally level-headed people who want him t win. I don't dislike the bloke, but I do dislike the way he plays the idiot card (hey may not be a fake as such, but he definitely exaggerates because he knows it goes down well). Why should we reward stupidity and play acting and see them as really great character traits? It was annoying when Jade did it, annoying when Nikki did it, just because Brian is a) black, b) a man and c) well-endowed does not make it any less annoying.
Anyone else FTW (except Ziggy obviously. And the three newcomers.)

He seemed to take the intelligence/IQ/Machiavelian tests that they mention on the psychology show as gospel. Well, either that or he just wants to get on TV.

I have started an anti-Brian FB group. There are way too many pro- ones out there, we need to redress the balance. It's called something like Brian NOT to win Big Brother I think. Come and play!

Well, either that or he just wants to get on TV. While they might have a 'high' IQ (maybe even over 100) they neither of them value their intelligence or education. It's likely to be a cultural thing rather than an educational one though.
