As you probably don't know, I am a university lecturer, and one of my students is doing her dissertation on gays in soap and she's having trouble finding some people to fill in a questionnaire for her. If you have a bit of time and can help her, can you PM me and I'll send you a questionnaire to fill in?
Cheers

It won't take long, will it? There aren't too many gays in soaps.

I don't mind filling in a questionnaire - but what does PM mean?!

Oh, and before anyone points it out, I am going to take her to task over her poor grammar!

In today's soap on UK TV, off the top of my head - Doctors - a gay doctor, possibly two Eastenders - Sonia was a one time lesbian and while Niaomi is still in there River City - a gay couple comprising of a graphic designer turned bar man and the local police man Emmerdale - one gay bar man and drag artist, one posh married gay (Rosemary's son) Coronation Street - Sean Hollyoaks - John-Paul Home and Away - new boy dating Mattie is a gay, his boyfriend has turned up this week There's at least one in almost every soap now (although Home and Away loses theirs soon, and Neighbours doesn't like them either) oh, and Rad, I'll do the survey

I had forgotten about nearly all of them.
I'll do the survey too.

Although a huge thing was made of Todd Grimshaw in Corrie, the first gay character was actually a drag queen who owned a club Alec Gilroy worked with. He and Rita managed Fiona (Angela Griffin) the hairdresser who couldn't sing, as the next big club act.

i think Sean Slater is a gay, going by the way he can't keep his beady eyes off the bloke with the tattooes. Looking out for his sister? Fancies a bit of cock if you ask me.
