Yesterday while painting (no don't ask) I decided to listen to the albums that haven't yet made it onto my iPod.
This included Ace Of Base -Singles of the 90's! I think this was the first time I had ever listend to the album the whole way through, it's brilliant!
Their special blend of euro-pop and non-sense often sad lyrics with a happy bouncy beat cheered up an otherwise uneventful sunday afternoon.
I never realised they had done a cover of Bananarama's 'Cruel Summer', but I'm so glad they did - it's probably better than the original and as it came on the heavens opened and there was even thunder.

Are Ace of Base the ones who did the theme song for the Trouble show Cruel Summer? I never realised it was an actual song.

Are Ace of Base the ones who did the theme song for the Trouble show Cruel Summer? I never realised it was an actual song. It was the second single from the album 'Flowers', and I think it reached no.7 or thereabouts, in 1998 or 1999. They did it independently of the TV show, and it was their biggest hit in the US for twenty trillion years, or maybe four.
