In view of the recent abysmal weather, TOTP2 decided to go the whole hog this week and put on a Christmas special, including "Merry Christmas, Everybody" by Slade. I'd forgotten the ace (or is it naff?) lyric "and you've been slayed/sleighed/Slade". Is this the only word in pop history with 3 connotations?

I'm so horny but that's okay... My will is good - yeah, yeah, yeah
I always liked these lyrics from Lithium by Nirvana, which given that it's a song about taking a drug for suicidal depression have I think several meanings.

I do like a bit of Slade, especially Mama Weer All Crazee Now when I'm a tad 'over-relaxed'.
Have you seen Slade's movie attempt '(Slade in) Flame'? It is easily the worst film I have ever seen.

It's better than Boys in Blue with Cannon and Ball. I actually worked at the place where this film was launched - and I am sure that one of them was caught in a room with one of the PR girls.
