She'd rather be hated than pitied!
Emma has proven how great a rubbish career can be if you can sustain it. I love the fact that she's council trash turned international hot cake. Maybe has put her into the legendary pop league.
Anyone else an admire her/hate her/pity her?

She'd rather be hated than pitied! Anyone else an admire her/hate her/pity her? Pity her. Anyone who believes that 'Crickets Sing...' is worthy of a single release is obvioulsy unbalanced. Hell knows why she has been successful (I use that word loosely) as a solo singer when all she does is put out bland, uninspired music is beyond me. Even her personality doesn't generate much interest. However, 'Maybe' was her finest hour.

I *heart* the Bunton and everything she stands for. After any nuclear war, the only creatures to survive will be the cockroaches, and Bunton.

She did an acoustic version of 2 Becomes 1 on last years Christmas in Popworld extravaganza. For that alone, she is an untouchable goddess.

But I thought 'What I Am' and 'Crickets Sing ...' were both really interesting songs to cover, neither are your usual pop fare. I can't say the results are better than the originals, but I'm glad she is doing her own thing rather than trying to be an RnB diva or some such. I read in Metro this morning that she was recently mistaken for Paris Hilton (The hotel heiress, not the actual hotel). I'm not sure why this passes for news?

After any nuclear war, the only creatures to survive will be the cockroaches, and Bunton. Bunton's orange tan is so radioactive it would possibly be the epicentre of the nuclear explosion explaining why she survived. Afterwards perhaps the chargrilled effect would finally give her that golden brown she so desires. How can anyone not like Bunton? Watch the behind the scenes clips on her single DVDs for enough reason to love her. Highlights include footage of her performing We're Not Gonna Sleep Tonight (her second finest hour) in double time with that god awful fringe - superb, and a clip on What Took You So Long where Bunton is practicing with her band for the forthcoming tour at the end of the year. Yes, What Took You So Long was released years ago and as far as I am aware she never had a tour. I LOVE her!!

i liked "what took you so long" very much. I thought the rest has been pretty mediocre to be honest.

Bunton has perfected the middle of the road pop star status. Make sure everything is inoffessive and then throw in the odd pop corker and a sexually charged performance and she keeps me happy :-)
