So long Sacha Distel
His first hit in '58 was called 'Scoubidou', but he's best remembered for Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head from '70.
I really love this song, although I prefered the BJ Thomas version from Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid '69
I mostly remember him for the 'Sacha Distel Show' in the '70's, he used to croon himself and have Baccara as resident musical guests.
More recently he collaborated with Dubstar on 'Poupee de Cire, Poupee de Son'

A song used to fantastic effect in the new Spiderman 2 movie. Not sure if it's Sacha though.
I used to love playing this record when I was little, my mum had quite a Sacha Distel collection!

I know I could be shot down and killed for this but I am a Manics fan, noble and true but James Dean Bradfields acoustic covering of this song is a jem.
Actually so acute is my obsession with this band and specifically JDB's voice he could sing the phone book listings to me with a spoons percussion accompaniment from Sean Moore and I would lable it a slice of fried gold!
