Does anyone like it? It's no Toxic, but it's hardly the worst thing she's ever done. I can't decide, is she too far gone down the trailer trash route to be saved?

I love Britney and hoped she'd come back with some amazing song, but she let me down. Bitch

I really like it, and think it will go down better in America than another Toxic would.

I really like it too. Except it drags a bit at the end.

The first three words are clearly legendary.
I actually really like it, despite it sounding like a demo from a 20 quid Casio Keyboard I got for Christmas in the 80s.

I must confess, I still believe.
It's not her finest work ever, but it shows promise. And given that it's a Britney tradition not to release the best song on an album first ('Overprotected' was much better than 'I'm A Slave 4U', and 'Toxic' was obviously superior to 'Me Against The Music'), I'm not concerned. I just hope she can pull herself together long enough to sustain the promotional campaign.

I've listened to it one and a half times and really, really hate it. She sounds so whiney, and so desperately trying to be sexy. Plus there's no real tune. I wanted a stomper, Britney. This one's not even going to get a chance to grow on me, it's insulting to my ears.
Just release a DVD single of you going mental with the umbrella accompanied to music. I'd buy that.

Oh my, who's heard Cold as Fire? It's the worst thing ever! What's wrong with her voice? Did they forget the auto-tuner?
Ooga chaka ooga chaka.
EDIT: Actually I think I love it.

It's like an even more fucked up offcut from the Gwen Stefani solo albums, but I don't think they should Autotune the vocal line. Bridgey xxx

The rumours were true. She is opening the MTV music video awards on Sunday. Trainwreck or comeback of the decade?

It does peak very early with "It's Britney, bitch!" but I have to say I'm impressed as I had very low expectations. Is there a video for it yet? (If not I'd like to second Nurse Dunkley's suggestion of just using footage of the umbrella incident.) I hope she finally finds a better wig in time for the comeback performance, she's been wearing some incredibly rubbish ones of late.

I bet she hates Osama Bin Laden right now. Just when everyone knows that she's making HER comeback, along he comes with his video and tries to steal her thunder. What's his problem?

Has he been working with Timbaland too? Stop it! Stop being my favourite poster, you crack me up too much! *imagines Osama beatboxing along Timbaland* I saw Timbaland live in May, when Justin played in Glasgow and ohmylord.... He was damn good. His music, the crazymad animation, everything... I may have even decided I half fancy him. Maybe.

Has he been working with Timbaland too? Sorry to be a picky knob but Britney hasn't been working with Timbaland. Timbaland seems quite bitter regarding Britney after announcing several months back he and Justin would be the ones to 'save her' of which nothing came of. This has been made all the worse by the fact Gimme More was produced by his protege Danja who many have always believed should be the one recognised and credited more for the recent output (Justins, Nellys, Shock Value) that Timbaland is getting all the glory for.

Has he been working with Timbaland too? I did think I was being ambiguous, and the 'too' (in my head) referred to the fact that the world and his nan have been working with Timba recently. That's one good thing about Britney's comeback, and it gives me hope for there being at least one good song on the fifth album (I never seem to like more than about 3 on a Britney album anyway).

Maybe it was meant as a tribute to Kylie? It's not what I'd proper dancing.
I really wish she'd moved to the UK in the midst of her troubles and been taken under the wing of the Tweedy Coles, as was offered. She could have finally worked with Xenomania and married Joe Cole and auditioned for Dance X.

Well it looked nice comparitively. It could have been done in Stig Of The Dump's front garden and the same would apply.
There's a nice little moment at the 3:04 point with Rihanna and her mate blatantly bitching at how shit Britney's doing.
You get the feeling that this performance wil be on a Britney: Behind The Music in ten years or so. I still don't think this is the end of her.
