I thought it wasn't out for ages? It's not out till February 25th, but it leaked about a month ago. How careless! I'm resisting. I absolutely love A & E though, and I'm glad they're going in this direction. Much as I liked Supernature, I'm not really interested in more of the same.

Yeah it leaked before Christmas- i couldnt resist! I think that is why I was so nonplussed by supernature- it seemed like such a copy of Black Cherry (but not as good).

Not sure what I think of this album, only just got it and I think its something you do have to listen to a few times. But very different the last 2 albums, and even though its more like Felt Mountain I don't think it's the same sort of record. It's getting very mixed reviews as they start to come out. Just read this interesting one from Australia www.aarondarc.com/poppsychology/content/view/359/1/ who seems to love Goldfrapp but hate this album. Hope it goes well for them anyway, theyre a great breath of fresh air in todays pop scene.

I'm quite excited about this album. I've avoided the leaks so have only heard A & E and like it a lot. Although yes, the beginning does sound a little too much like Yellow Submarine for my liking. It's good that they've changed their sound because Supernature was decent, but not as good as many were making it out to be at the time. Nothing on that album was even half as good as Strict Machine and Train. Although those are two of my favourite songs ever.
I do hope hospital radio is putting this new single and Paddy Wolf's Accident and Emergency to good use.

My all time favourite Goldfrapp song EVAH is Pilots. I love the song, I love the video. It just oozes class.
I like A&E, and the video is fun too, so I'm interested in how Seventh Tree will sound. Supernature was ok, but wasn't as groundbreaking as half as many people think. I'm sure the Popjustice forums will loath the new record.

McQueen, is that the A&E vid in your avatar? because if so, Alison looks very much like Madonna. In 'Me Vs the Music'.

At first I thought they could be making a mistake turning their back on the electro-glam crossover of Supernature, but after a few listens I think A&E could be their most mainstream release yet. It's very Radio 2 and not in a bad way.
Plus after the embarrasment of the 2 Hearts video, it all feels a bit more reassuring to be 'back to nature'

Blimey, Happiness is all shades of wonderful. So far this album has not disappointed at all.

I pre-ordered it online because I could get it for 6.99. Needless to say it hasn't arrived. after the Kylie-X fiasco I have learned not to get hopes up about this kind of thing.

Happiness now confirmed as the next single - a great choice and will be perfect for early Springtime.
Is this the first song in ages to feature a recorder?
