Is anyone going to be in the chatrooms for this?

Yes. It's already meeting my low expectations.
Also what is up with Ozzy Osbourne's face?

I love the fact that they're giving Ozzy as little as possible to say '......and here's KYLIE !'

I've been watching for half an hour and this is rubbish - I will always like the Osbournes though so they can be exonerated.
I remember it used to be all 'Oh fuck what's going to kick off at this year's Brits?!'
Now all we get is Dave Grohl slagging off his award, Fearne Cotton having a presenting job invented for her and James Nesbitt half cut as per.
Give me Chumbawamba icing Prezza and Craig David's sour grapes any day.

I was rather enjoying Leona's performance, and then I realised I wasn't watching her at all but the dancers. They were very good, much better than Pan's People used to be.
I reckon a good marksman could have taken the Moyles and Osbourne, K, out with one bullet, but it's not the sort of ceremony that glamourises gun crime, sadly.
Mika and Ditto looked like Aunts Spiker and Sponge together (his legs must be the same width as her fingers) and David Tennant's t-shirt was quite nice.
Not as good, or as bad, as 1989 though.

Things I liked:
Arctic Monkeys ripping the shit out of The Brit School Rihanna channeling Kate Bush Gorgeous Mark Ronson Leona Lewis. There is just something about her
Things I hated Mrs fucking O introducing Kylie as "a survivor, LIKE ME" Winehouse's 2nd performance was tuneless shite Fucking Mika Vic bloody Reeves
It was a bit shit wasn't it

When the Klaxons won the Mercury music prize I wonder if they anticipated becoming Rihanna's backing band. It was a pretty rubbish collaboration. The most interesting thing about it was that I suddenly noticed that Keyboard Klaxon looks a bit like Andy Sugden off Emmerdale.

It was piss poor.
As an award show, it was rubbish, as entertainment it was rubbish. Kylie was lack lust - compare her performance to "Can't get you out of my head" a few years earlier.
The hosts were crap, Sharon Osbourne should never be on tv again. She's just a horrible piece of work.
The whole thing was just a big advert for the Brit School. The amount of winners, and references to it was ridiculous. They may as well had a big sign saying "Hey!! Come to Brit School! be famous!!"
Kaiser Chiefs played like a band that hated their own song and knew they weren't gonna win a thing.
Mark Ronson, won an award for producing acts. All of his songs are covers. His performance was covers, and others singing. Hardly best solo male really is it.
A few years ago, this ceremony used to be great entertainment - the nominees used to be more diverse, and there were more of them per award too. You genuinely had no idea who'd walk away with awards.
The best bit of the whole night was Dave Grohl taking the piss out of the ceremony.
And yes, Fearne Cotton. Why oh why.

As long as the horrendous Mika didn't win, the award could have gone to the person making the tea at Mark Ronson's studio for all I care. In any case, it was hardly the strongest category. Has anyone ever listened to Newton Faulkner, as opposed to merely being in the room while his CD played?
Kylie, Amy and Leona all did well. The Rihanna/Klaxons collaboration amounted to Rihanna squawking over Golden Skans, which wasn't at all surprising. Girls Aloud and the Arcade Fire should have won their respective Group categories. The Osbournes were as pointless as ever. The Kaiser Chiefs have been going through the motions for quite some time, and would do well to piss off for a while rather than rush out another album.
I think that's all.

Kylie, Amy and Leona all did well. I admit I've not seen many of her performances, but does Amy Winehouse always grasp at her skirt hem like that? With that, and all her jerking around, she looked like she needed a wee.

Did anyone notice that at one point we heard audio proof that Sharon is from Hell?
Her slowed down voice was really rather unsettling and put me off my M&S sea bass.
As much as I love Kylie, I really think Rihanna deserved that gong - 2 Hearts isn't really Umbrella is it? Still, Wow was quite fun.
Somehow I just knew Vic Reeves was going to say something about her: Miz Minogue is very dignified in not saying anything isn't she? I hope one day she shocks us in a similar situation and makes use of the word "cunt" a lot

The most interesting thing about it was that I suddenly noticed that Keyboard Klaxon looks a bit like Andy Sugden off Emmerdale. Least they were actually performing together. Remember the much hyped collaboration between Beyonce and Outkast a few years back which involved Outkast performing, leaving the stage and Beyonce coming on to perform?

Those collaborations are always an anticlimax.
The Osbournes were rubbish presenters. As a whole, the show was as bland as usual. I was more interested in the way it fell apart towards the end when everyone got more and more pissed up.
I liked the Arctic Monkeys dressing up again and having a go at the Brits School. I liked Amy Winehouse's performances as well.
I agree Mark Ronson was an odd choice given that he is a producer of an album of cover versions and had other artist sing them, but he at least acknowleged that and he seemed lovely. As Mike said, he probably stopped Mika getting it, which can only be a good thing.

I don't like Sharon Osbourne, but I did enjoy we pwning Vic Reeves, he looked like an idiot and didn't he say something bitchy about Kylie?
Also, the moron showbiz writer in the Metro wrote that Amy Winehouse overcame her recent troubles to give a "faultless performance" !!!! What the fuck was he watching? He then said "she could even be seen mouthing 'I love you' to her husband", like it was some sort of mean feat.

I pretty much agree with what everyone on here said, the Kaiser Chiefs did look bored. When you think about who won what, it doesn't really reflect current Music, it was all a bit boring and predictable. The Osbournes weren't terrible, but they weren't great either. I actually longed for Cat Deeley to pop up riding on a bottle of champayne like she did that other year.
I hope i wasn't the only one dancing about to McCartney, especially Hey Jude.

I thought Leona's dancers looked a bit stupid at points, mainly at 1:04 on this video:

I thought Leona's dancers looked a bit stupid at points, mainly at 1:04 on this video: They were something else, weren't they? The literal interpretation of some of the lyrics made me hide behind the cushion at points. "They try to pull me away" (cue dancers pulling at each other), "everyone's looking round" (oh, lookit!), and "they talk so loud" (some nice hammy whispering) were the highlights. Was it too much to hope they'd cut each other open and bleed? Still furious about the Overrated Apes snagging two awards. The dirty, dirty cunts. And don't even get me started on Mika. I actually quite liked Rihanna & Klaxons, though.

I just didn't like Dave Grohll slagging off Shakespears Sister - I actually thought "oh is he a fan too?" then it became clear he wasn't being very nice.
The bit where Sharon's voice was distorted to censor out probably swearing was unintentionally hilarious - I hope she was made to sound like a dying cow on purpose.
I hated them being right there in the background at all times, it meant the possibility of Dannii Minogue coming out to present an award got slimmer by the second.

Leona in that dress and with the gates set looked a bit like she was trying to be a Disney princess. Was that the idea?

I just didn't like Dave Grohll slagging off Shakespears Sister - I actually thought "oh is he a fan too?" then it became clear he wasn't being very nice. He was obviously reading it off a script though - did you hear how he mispronounced "Bros"? I'll bet he'd never even heard of Shakespear's Sister. Has it actually emerged yet what Sharon said that was so bad it needed distorting?

Does this mean Vic Reeves will stop appearing on stuff and being unfunny? I'm a Celebrity.. Buzzcocks.. Shaun the Sheep and now the Brits. I used to be a fan but I feel his inner bitterness may turn him the way of Freddie Starr How could you miss out his hoolarious 'Bin-gooo!' ad from the list?
