What do we think? Personally an ex mormon with pretty hair as a lead singer makes me very happy, and I do like the angst filled lyrics and ridiculously long titles.
The new song, Nine In The Afternoon didn't exactly grab me but after listening to it for a while I do like it lots. Although nowhere will play it, at all, but then again nowhere will play Feedback by Janet Jackson so clearly no one has taste anymore.

Nine in the Afternoon bugs me. I liked the previous single, even though I can't remember its name right now. The jury is very definitely out for me, I'm afraid.

My brother and I loved the first album, we used to sit in the car and slightly-manically chant through the lyrics, 'and sleeping with roaches and taking their shirts off...'
Haven't they taken the ! away from their name now? Weird.

I enjoy Nine In The Afternoon. I listened to their first album a lot but still couldn't sing a whole song word for word along with the track. My brother and his friend, however, have a talent and can burst into any one of their songs and just sing it word perfect..even after copious amounts of alcohol

I like their first album, especially the one about getting hearts beating "faster! faster!". ("Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off", apparently). However, I can't stand "Nine In The Afternoon", something about his accent and the really nasally way he rhymes "mewn" (moon) with "newn" (noon) makes my teeth itch.

I like them. Although the removal of the ! annoys me and makes me like them less. I had grown rather fond of the !. I hope they're new album contains at least one !. That nine in the afternoon song isn't as sing along friendly as their old album though. Maybe it's a grower.

Which probably says more about me than the song itself, especially considering I can understand most words of Feedback.

I regret taking the ! for granted. It's one of those things you don't realise how much you'll miss it until it's gone.
