From the dark delights of "Heathers" to the brilliantly awful "Teaching Miss Tingle"
All contributions are welcome.
My personal favourites to kick things off
Clueless: Brittany Murphy! Eee! "FREEWAYARGGHH" "Oh my God...I love Josh!"
Heathers: Winona! Shannen!"I <3 my dead gay son" "Because I can be"
Election: The Broderick! The Witherspoon! "You look like you could use a CUPCAKE!" "If you died right now, I would throw myself under one of my Dad's cement trucks so I could be poured into your tomb. "
Hairspray (it counts, doesn't it?): Divine! Ricki Lake! Debbie Harry! Vitamin C! "PennyPingletonIsPermantlyPunished!"
NEXT!

Bring It On - Really ace dancing. And cheesy pop music. Who didn't want to be a cheerleader after watching it.

Who didn't want to be a cheerleader after watching it. Me! But it's still a very ace film.

Heathers is probably my all time favourite movie. Transfer to Jefferson, transfer to Washington -- no one at Westerburg is gonna let you play their reindeer games!
My own contributions:
Sixteen Candles & Pretty In Pink (I can't decide which I like better, I just know that I never really liked The Breakfast Club). Anything with Molly Ringwald in it has got to rule. I wonder what's happening to the touted Thirty Six Candles that was mentioned on the old LC messageboard.
Adventures in Babysitting / "A Night On The Town" Gang Leader Wielding Knife: Don't fuck with the lords of hell! Chris: Don't fuck with the babysitter! Who didn't love that at 13?

wot? no Ferris?
Ferris Bueller's Day Out is a joy from start to finish. It is the Star Wars of teen movies.
There are imitators and rip offs but none quite capture the bliss Ferris does
For those concerned about his best mate, he catches that bus in Speed along with Kitty Farmer from Donnie Darko
Ferris went on to marry a horse, instead of that cute girl he was with at the time. The fool!
Anyone know where I can get one of those 'Save Ferris' shirts?

I have that on video -- though that is fast becoming obsolete, sigh, making my 60 video collection stupid. I must buy a VCR soon.
I love the parade bit of that film. And any bit with the best friend. Does anyone know if he's got fit since then?
Hey, SJP is cool. Although Ferris did embarrass himself 'starring' in the terrible Stepford remake.

Well, now, there's a question that needs an eternity to answer. In terms of being a film that is modern in terms of how it treats women, no. It's heavily stereotyped and quite rude in its treatment of women and other things. However. Michael Rosenbaum in a dress is amazing and if you don't take it seriously and treat it for what it is, yes, it's very good. I absolutely loved it, although the plot is a little silly and one of the actors is far too old to be in university -- as in WAY too old. Watch it. If you can dl it, or buy it on Amazon, do, it's very funny so long as you take it in the right frame of mind! Michael in a dress. Hee.

Obviously Heathers, Election, Bring It On and Clueless are ace. I'd like to add 10 Things I Hate About You and Drop Dead Gorgeous to the list as well.
EDIT: And Cruel Intentions. Obviously.

Yes.
The ones that are great enough for me to own:
Clueless 10 Things I Hate About You Cruel Intentions Drop Dead Gorgeous
Big Up to She's All That on later though. And the best of the gross-out teen comedy is Road Trip.

Ferris Bueller was cool, but War Games has a special place in my DVD collection. I was massively in lurve with Matthew Broderick for years.
Pretty in Pink is by far the ace-est teen movie though, how AMAZING was the soundtrack, not to mention the excellent record shop where Andie worked with her cool oder mate?
At the time I always wanted Andie to get off with Duckie, but retrospectively, Blane (Andrew McCarthy) was vastly fitter. Where is he now?
James Spader was great - he looked about 35 and was supposed to be at school. The slip-ons with invisible socks is such a great 80s look.

The Breakfast Club, and, for the post-modern spin on things, The Faculty. Both sorely underrated classics in their particular genre. Josh Hartnett is such a huge star in The Faculty. He burns up the screen.
Some of my other favouites; Empire Records (ace soundtrack, pretty cast), Get Over It (surreal, weird, strangely wonderful) and Cruel Intentions (not that they're teens in it, but hey, we'll let that one slide)

That is such an underrrated and fantastic movie. Easily one of the best teen schlock things I've seen Others: Mean Girls: It's going to be remember very fondly, the performances and the whole thing is so funny and sharp although you do wish they'd ditched the PG13 vibe and made something a tad more bitchy. Cruel Intentions: for SMG alone it's great but it's a great movie over all. Don't mention number 2 though. Uck Bring It On: It's so much fun. and Dushku and Dunst are great. Clueless: I love curvy Brittany and the whole thing is just so sweet. The Scream parody they did on the tv show was great too. Drop Dead Gorgeous: I only saw it once but it was great. I especially liked Denise Richards whole butter wouldn't melt shtick and again curvy Brittany "GAY, GAY, GAY!" Can't think of any more at the moment.

Can't believe I forgot Girls Just Want to Have Fun! Starring a mid-eighties Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt. SJP just "loves to dance" and dreams of making it all the way on to DTV. Her love interest in the movie is sooooo gross - total mullet central.

How could you foget about Romy and Michele's High School Reunion? Michele: "Romy, you look so good with blonde hair and black roots, it's like not even funny."
Michele: "I just get really happy when they finally let her shop."
Michele: "Who lost their virginity first?" Romy: "Oh big wow with your cousin Barry, I wouldn't brag about it."
And Janeane Garofalo!
I love crap teen movies. Another good one is "Jawbreaker" with Rose McGowan and Rebecca Gayheart!

Whilst Heathers is the Best of the Best (and was also the film that introduced me to the aceness of Christian Slater), I have a soft spot for Pump Up The Volume. Almost as black and funny as Heathers, with the added bonus of a soundtrack that includes the Pixies and Leonard Cohen. So my list is:
Heathers The Breakfast Club Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Pump Up The Volume Pretty In Pink Drop Dead Gorgeous Clueless Wargames (a big YAY for whoever scheduled this the other Sunday) Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and…. (*whispers it*) Supergirl
By the way, does anyone remember Toy Soldiers, with Sean Astin? I’m pretty sure it was rubbish, but it had lots of hot boys in it!

At the time I always wanted Andie to get off with Duckie, but retrospectively, Blane (Andrew McCarthy) was vastly fitter. Where is he now? Last seen in Kingdom Hospital, and ageing very well. Nobody has mentioned St Elmo's Fire! Ok, probably none of them actually were teenagers, but it's still in that same league. Rob Lowe, Mmm. I also quite liked Class, that he and Andrew McCarthy were also in together.

Her love interest in the movie is sooooo gross - total mullet central. This is my favourite film Ever. Except I always say it's Dirty Dancing, because people have actually heard of that one (it's my second favourite). The soundtrack is ace, and I always wanted to be Helen Hunt more than SJP, because she got to ride the horse, rather than the hard gymnastics.
