I watched this again following my purchase of the Elm Street box set and it really is terrible. Which is why it is so good. It totally wrecks everything the original worked for (Freddy killing people in their dreams and still being scary) by having him in the real world. Yes, that's right. Why would he want to kill in the real world when he can kill in dreams? This film also has major homoerotic undertones too, which is a nice change from the girl running around in a skimpy top from a psycho killer formula. And it's the only film in the series where the lead 'victim' is a male. I recommend this film if you want to see a really, really so-bad-it's-good movie.
