No, before you say anything - this shouldn't be in TV Culture. Do you know why? Because it's being made into a movie! Hurrah!
There's some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that the mighty Melissa Joan Hart won't be reprising the role of Sabrina. The good news is that the even mightier Sarah Michelle Gellar will! Can you believe it? She's back in high school!
God, exclamation mark overload. But I am very excited.

Don't you mean made into another movie? Check imdb. Yeah, sorry, I meant to post about those. But weren't they both straight to video?

There were at least three. The first one, sort of pilot episode, and then the ones in exotic locations. They were fantabulously cheap, and I saw them at Christmas, actually. Quite fun. But shit. But still, fun.

But Mellissa Joan Heart is forever 16 and forever Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

Yeah, sorry, I meant to post about those. But weren't they both straight to video? I think they were all made-for-TV movies, weren't they? Sort of special feature-length ones to air in the summer. My friend recently went to Rome to visit her friend Sabrina, and unfortunately that meant she was saddled with lots of particularly unfunny Sabrina Goes To Rome jokes on my part. Not sure if I see SMG in the role. She might be stretching the word "teenage" a bit far. I suspect I'm alone in this, but if it has to be a Buffy alumnus I don't think Michelle Trachtenberg would particularly suck.

SMG is younger than MJH though, to be fair. And they both have that three names thing going on. Plus, the more of her the better so while I love MJH (she's such a dirty monkey), I can't complain. It does sound very speculative though.

The real question of any Sabrina retread is who's going to play Harvey?
Slightly off topic, has anyone seen that Melissa Joan Hart TV/Movie thing about a girl (with Very pale skin, very redlips and ridiculously blue (lazy) eyes, who manipulates her wrongun boyfriend into shooting her parents with his grandads WWII gun. It was one of those 'based on a true story' films. Any connoissuer of her work should check it out. I don't know the name, but you'll know you have the right one when you start to wonder why it's been shot like one of Hitler's wet dreams.

Also off-topic: Dear Melissa Joan Hart, Get your agent to submit a better picture of you to IMDB. Love, Pandarama.

I loved the TV show, but they tried to drap it out too long. Every time she went up a grade at school, her old best friends would have dissapeared, and a new one would come along. The final nail in the coffin (although, Witches are immortal), was when they got rid of the aunts. Didn't it only last one more series after that? Never underestimate the power of aunts.
I used to love it when they had singers / bands on the show, and they did a performance (usually at a party) and all the characters would do some crap dancing.
Was the voice of Salem the same as one of the Angry Beavers?

I agree wholeheartedly. Morgan and Roxie were no substitute for Hilda and Zelda. The whole of the final season was pretty rubbish, actually - the only saving grace was that one of the guys she worked with on the magazine was hot.

I remember that guy, I thnk I downloaded some pictures of him to wank over look at. They did do a good thing by bringing Harvey back. It just went on for too long *Downloads You Drive Me Crazy (The Stop remix) video* Mellissa Joan Hart is a rubbish dancer. If you was a gay, she'd be a rubbish gay. Wasn't the show a big Hart family thingey. Her dad was like the executive producer or something, and Mellissa did some producing aswell I think. There was another Hart in the credits aswell I believe.

IMDB tells me the hot guy is Andrew Walker, but so far there aren't many good pictures online that I can find. Pfuh. To try to bring the subject back to a movie-related line of thought, just how terrifying is that moment when you realise that cruel, bitchy Big Red in Bring It On is the same person that plays sweet-natured Valerie in Sabrina?

Valerie suddenly dissapears and Sabrina just forgets about her. Then Sabrina bumps into her (she's a mermaid now) in Australia, but fails to recognise her. What a bitch. If STTW was a soap, that would be Intrasoapiality

They do mention Valerie briefly in the first episode of the series after she leaves. Her parents move and the plan is for her to spend her final year of high school living with Sabrina and her aunts, but at the last minute her parents change their minds and tell her she has to go with them - this all happens offscreen.
(NB. I realise I must sound like some kind of Sabrina-obsessive, which I promise I'm not, I've just seen a lot of back-to-back Sabrina-thons on Nickleodeon at weekends.)
The more potent question is, what the hell happened to Jenny?

The more potent question is, what the hell happened to Jenny? She was too ginger, and too busy being in Madison. Mr Pool also disappeared after the first series. Presumably he only ever taught that once Biology class.

I loved the way that they tried to distract us from Jenny disappearing by bringing in Valerie. I loved Valerie she was so ace.
And then Amber from Clueless was in the most recent series of Sabrina. Amber=ace.
In conclusion, Sabrina = ace people in it
I wonder what Mj-H is going to do now. Sabrina's finished hasn't it?

Well using the old trick of extrpolating from her previous career we can clearly see where her future lies.
Melissa-Joan Hart's Career:
Melissa in crappy film.
Clarissa explains it all.
Sabrina the teenage witch.
So we can clearly see that her next role will be
Jacinta the struggling actress bitch.
Obvious when you think about it.

I like the sound of that.
Naturally there would be plenty of ways that she could control her roommates and lots of moments where she breaks the fourth wall and talks to the viewer.

Before being diagnosed with comedy schizophrenia as ratings start to dip at the tail-end of the third series. PLease note, she would only be a bitch behind peoples' backs. To their faces she would be sweet, innocent, charming and funny in the way only American sitcom characters with no discernable sense of humour can be.

What is MJH up to lately? Sabrina is the best show ever. Libby was such a cold bitch - I loved the one where Sabrina was set a puzzle by the Quizmaster - and the puzzle was Libby. It was done, but one piece was missing - Libby's heart. Aw.

I *heart* SMG and all but surely this is a horrible idea. She needs to do something more Cruel Intentions-y now.
