I saw this yesterday afternoon. It's quite good. It wasn't the best film ever, but Jude Law and Gywneth Paltrow really impressed me.
Basically, the plot isn't much to shout about, but visually it's awesome.
Anyone else seen it yet?

Basically, the plot isn't much to shout about, but visually it's awesome. That was pretty much the impression I got from the T4 Special at the weekend. From the clips they showed, it looked like the dialogue was clunky and the plot fairly unimportant, but it looked so pretty.

Was it supposed to look realistic or kind of cartoony with real people acting.

I wasn't sure if I enjoyed it or not. I should have liked it a lot, as it was quite original and experimental, but it seemed too self consciously trying to re-create an era.
And I don't think Jude and Gwyneth gelled as well in the way Renee and Ewan did in Down With Love or Tim Robbins and Jennifer Jason Leigh in Hudsucker Proxy
But I hope people go and see it as it is original and amusing and Sadie needs the cash.

This is a film with Angelina Jolie in it. Why no raving about Blowjob Lips? Because she looks silly in the film. I am still too devastated to comment on her role. Her role that takes up about 10 minutes of the film. Hmph.

I was very disappointed to hear that this film isn't about Sky from Neighbours. Although I still have no idea what it is about. How have all the trailers and TV promo passed me by?

EEEEE.
It's a very specific film isn't it?
I loved it like I knew I would, all throughout it I was raving as if it was the greatest film i'd ever seen. It made me 10 again! huzzah.
They didn't all pull of the vibe, I don't think anyone told Michael Gambon what sort of film this was, but Giovanni Ribisi was fucking spot-on as Dex. I mean absolutely Oscar-worthy "this is the point of acting" perfectly pulpy. If I didn't love him before... *lusts*
AND! It's so slashable. Dex 4 Sky Capt 4eva.

I must go and see this.
I have a bit of a Jude law thing and love robots, what could go wrong?
Last night I saw eXistenZ on the Sci-Fi channel, I forgot haow GOOD this film is, it was mostly rubbished when it came out, but seeing it again I thought it was even better.
Also they had a trailer for Alfie during one of the ad breaks, this didn't look that great if they were the best/funniest bits of it. But I'll probably go and see it anyway!
