From Media Guardian
A survey of 1000 young British Asian professionals' attitudes to the media included criticisms that the Ferreira characters, who were introduced to EastEnders in June last year, were poorly researched and had unrealistic storylines.
What a surprise.
Lowculture has been saying this all along.
Hopefully this will make the BBC do something.

That's all very well and good, but I don't notice any of the Caucasian characters in EastEnders getting realistic storylines either.

I fine the fact that they have just opened a minicab business utterly hillarious.
Mayor Ken will be dissapointed - as much as i've studied the cars I don't see any signs of registration.
*Tsk tsk*

I fine the fact that they have just opened a minicab business utterly hillarious. Not as hilarious as the fact they seem to shut at 6:30pm. The fact they're a family which doesn't contain two members that actually look like they come from the same country, never mind family doesn't help.

Kareena is back soon after her summer repping in Ibiza, sadly without Kel. But apparently Ibiza has worn off on her and she comes back sexier, with a new short hair do, and promptly shags Mickey! Oh well...
I'm not a massive fan of the Ferrerias but I'd be a lot happier if they got rid of Ash and Adi (is he a bummer or what?), and left Kareena, Ronny and Tariq. Actually Ronny can bugger off an' all, the other 2 are ok. Actually Tariq is a bit annoying too...

I really hate Adi, primarily for the reason that the actor who plays him only had the one facial expression, that of a befuddled blowfish. Whenever he's on screen, I just find myself wondering how bad the people who didn't get the part must have been.
I love Sasha though, and not just because she shares my surname. Can we keep Sasha and lose the Ferreiras?
