What I want to know now is - have any of you lot been on telly, and did you go to any ridiculous lengths to get there? I was on mtv, itn, bbc, etc, the day that Oasis - Be Here Now was released. The record shop I was working in opened early, and we had to stand behind our tills, copy of the cd in one hand, giving a thumbs up with the other. I looked a cunt. (I was also on the local news when some girlband turned on the xmas lights from the same store back in 96)

My Dad's been on the local news a couple of times talking about transport (yawn) but once this man was in a pub being interviewed about something on the same news show and there was a mistake and my Dad's name was put up as his. So his name has been on TV more than him now.

I've only been on TRL and cd:uk. I seem to have a knack of standing behind presenters.
My friend was once shown singing/cracking up on a cheap Songs of Praise rip off show. Thats miles better than anything I've done.

I've been interviewed for the local news, and have been in background shots twice. When I was in junior school I was on a tcc show called "Around the world in 80 seconds "with Timmy Mallet and Wolf from Gladiators. Wolf was a very nice chap. Timmy was bonkers. I auditioned for Pop Idol but they never showed it thank god.

I dressed up like Mrs Christmas and got interviewed outside Smash Hits Poll Winners Party.
I was on Sky's Sex On The Job. Ooh, saucy!
I am in Busted's Year 3000 video.
Plus some other boring things.

When I was 8 I was on Smalltalk (that show with Ronny Corbet). They came round the schools in the area doing auditions, and the headteacher put some kids forward for the audition, and I was one of them. Then they asked me and some other kids to go to another local school to film it. Then some woman just asked us questions and filmed us (i was in a duo) and then months later I was on the show a few times.

I was inches away from being on telly the other week in a report about Pierce Brosnan being given an honourary degree in my uni. If they had turned the camera a few inches to the left, I would have been stood there looking very official in my suit.
Oh well.

I was seen in the crowd at Highbury once. Well, my family and I, and some of my friends were able to pick me out.

I've been on 'Trisha'. I wasn't on the stage (my life isn't that disfunctional) but in the audience. Me and my mate went and everytime we were on screen you could see my mate reading the autocue. She didn't even realise she was doing it. We won a bottle of cheap champagne (that tasted like cats piss) for asking the best question of the day. Trisha was a right bitch though

By this title I thought you meant "reflected in the screen". Oh well. I've been on TV because of Glastonbury and that's it I think. But that also means I've been on a cinema screen too- the more recent Glasto film. And if you've got the 25th anniversary booklet or several of the other programmes I'm in there too- look in the kid's field section and you'll see a photo of a girl in sunglasses and a big white Glasto T-shirt. That's my eleven year old self!

Ive been in the audience/background on mtv select, Terry & Gaby (they showed a close up of my face right after a piece on the naked rambler), totp, ant & decs saturday night takeaway.
I did a cartwheel passed a camera filming for the local news once. I didnt even know it was there.
Ive phoned into mtv select a few times to speak to Abs, J & Sean from five, Lisa & Faye from Steps and Richard Blackwood.
I havent been on properly properly, but suppose if I was I think I'd probably make an arse of myself.

I appeared in the background of 'Taggart' years ago when Taggart was still alive - we were on holiday in Rothesay on Bute, it was really hot and Taggart and some other bloke were eating ice creams while walking round this little park discussing the case. Me and my two big brothers sat on a bench while they passed by. They had to do about five takes, and the ice cream was melting so they had to get new ones and we given the old ones, so I've also eaten an ice cream licked by now dead Taggart!
I was on the news once when they filmed the Pride march, walking down Victoria street. I think I wearing very short cut off jeans - the shame.
And another thing I was in was a documentary on Five about a nude photography, I was a model, and they interviewed me (clothed).
I've only done one major motion picture, yes thats me Sheryl Lee pushes by in the 'Star Club, Hamburg' at the end of 'Backbeat' the movie about fifth Beatle Stuart Sutcliffe.
Total time on screen about 10 seconds, still waiting for other 14minutes and fifty seconds of fame.
Having a good face for radio I was interviewed for Radio Four once on the subject of Spam (the stuff in a tin, not email)

I've appeared on the television several times.
Unfortunately it was whilst playing on an Eye Toy, but I have been on the telly, in a round about sort of a way.
Jen, what did you sing?? The nation needs to know!

I was a contestant on Bruce Forsyth's Generation Game 11 year ago when I was 21. It was when Rosemary Ford was the assistant, and I went on with my mum.
We had to dress up in a fireman's chemical protection outfit in under a minute (I got 7/10 my mum got 5/10), and then we played a game naming film soundtracks (I got 4/4 and my mum got 3/4). We went on to the final game where we had to do sound effects for the News Huddlines radio show (and met June Whitfield!). We got the same points as the other contestants (18/20) but then lost the tie breaker question (Which bank note has Charles Dickens on the back?).
And then... complete strangers wrote in to Points of View and complained that we hadn't won, because in the final game we were up against an old lady (Nelly Barker) who couldn't do anything, but was hilarious. I will never hear a bad word said against Anne Robinson for her immortal cry of "Julie and Gary was robbed!"
We had great fun doing the show and 3 nights in a hotel in London, with travel expenses way over what was needed. The contestant researchers told us on absolutely no account must we mention Bruce's wig. Rosemary was lovely.
Me and a friend auditioned for the new Treasure Hunt that was on telly recently. We made it to the last 8, but they only picked 5 We were very gutted. At the interview they gave us two clues to solve with maps and everything, and we were shit hot. We came out of the interview on such a high cos we'd done so well. But I don't think they wanted it to be "Gay Treasure Hunt" and they clearly had a few gay men on, and I was one gay man too many
Also applied for Weakest Link, but didn't even get an interview. Bastards!

I was shown in the audience of Gladiators once, luckily I didn't have one of those huge foam hands and I wasn't dancing along to 'Another One Bites The Dust' either. I've climbed The Wall too but it wasn't shown on TV, which looking back is probably a good thing.

Wish You Were Here : walking down some steps with Judith Chalmers.
Golf : being seen looking lost at the Open and turning around in a circle.
Sportscene : eating a bag of Smax at Love Street.
and finally
Scotland Today : standing in the background as the camera panned past.

I shook Margaret Thatcher's hand live on the BBC news when she went to church once when I was about 10 and she was still the Prime Minister.
