That is not a typo in the topic title, happiness is spelt that way for a reason (if you see it you will see why). I saw this when I was in the States recently and I thought it was going to be a crap, cheesy, all-American Will Smith vehicle but it wasn't. It actually really affected me and - shock! - made me want to do heaps of revision for my AS exams and made me realise how lucky I actually am. I think everyone should see it. And the little boy is funny.

Can you spoiler and tell me why we have to endure this awful typo in the title? I don't think I'll be bothering with going to the cinema to see it.

From IMDB: The spelling error in the title is intentional: it refers to an important scene in the movie, in which children are writing words such as Happyness on the wall, and is mentioned to them it doesn't matter how it is spelled. The scene however has been cut . It's still no excuse I know. Oh, IMDB also informs me that BAFTA award winning actress Thandie Newton is in it as well. That makes it more appealing.

It has the longest, most nauseating trailer in history.
I didn't think it was possible for me to hate Will Smith any more than I did already: I do now.

Will Smith = Smug Cunt
Not friendly and approachable, smug get who has made millions out of appearing to be 'the guy next door'. I've hated him since The Fresh Prince, so it's nothing new for me.

I've hated Will Smith since I got dumped by someone who used to say he was his ideal man.

This film is so a fucking blatant lets give Will Smith an Oscar film...The trailer makes me furious.
Intentionally Mispelt Title....check. Dramatic music....check. A Beard to show how serious and grown up it all is...check. Children....check.
And yes he is a smug cunt as well.

I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want to see a Financial Thriller.
Oh heck, I'll probably end up seeing it, and then hating myself.

I didn't realise that his son in the film is actually his real life son until I heard it this morning.

He reminds me of Richard Blackwood. Nobody ever wants to be reminded of Richard Blackwood.

I'm fine with Will Smith, Thandie Newton on the other hand is one of the most talentless actresses on the go.

The trailer left me thinking i had mistakenly seen the whole film Co-signed. Though a word of caution to the Smith haters - it's a very good thing for humanity that he seems to be concentrating on films, as his musical offerings are unbearable to listen to.

All the ads for the dvd release of this film have reminded me that it was perhaps the most tedious, manipulative and generally fucking awful film I have ever seen. I should have really felt bad for wishing death upon a homeless father and son, but no.
I'm so glad the Oscar people weren't fooled. Will Smith will probably team up with Beyonce in some awful biopic now though.

Whenever I see the ads for the DVD of this, I imagine it's the sort of film that's probably on a continuous loop in Hell.

As Mike's already pointed out, films are much more avoidable than songs, so it's all in a good cause.
