I've recent been struck with a mild case of insomnia (in retrospect, too many cups of black coffee haven't helped) which means I spend the wee hours of the night watching crap TV. This lead to the discovery of the brilliance that is True Movies (Sky channel 323 and 324).
The best one this week was Sarah Chalke, pre-Scrubs, as a teenager fighting a legal battle against the footballers who sexually harassed her and the school board who seem far too pro-rape for my liking.
Last night Mimi Rogers starred as the concerned mother of a daughter who starts modelling for a website which turns out not to be as innocent as she thought. Middle-aged men taking photos of teen girls in short skirts for a website? How could that possible go wrong? Silly Mimi!

Whats even better is when the Movie under runs the alloted slot and they fill in with trailers for forthcoming features.
I can't wait for "A Town Torn Apart" which they were advertising yesterday, it's got him from LA Law in it wearing a fake beard and Kirsten Dunst in "Fifteen and Pregnant" and Cheryl Ladd in "Vows of Deception" - the trailer of which gives away every single plot twist in the movie.

True Movies fans alert! There is an excellent film on this week called "When Friendship Kills" which is about eating disorders amongst two teenage girls that I caught on Channel 5 a few years back (three times).
It makes me bawl my eyes out like a girl! Everytime!

Any movies24 fans? It's on Telewest/Virgin Ch 424. Truly glorious made-for-TV films.
Embarrassingly, I made a group of friends turn over to see how good it was and we caught a full-frontal scene in a cheap porno. I have since discovered that 10.30pm is the daily "erotic drama" slot.

Easily done. I started watching a drama about a detective investigating murders connected to a spa (the normal non-cruising kind) and then the lady detective kept getting naked for no reason. It got boring after she started wearing see-through clothes so I changed channel. I never found out who was the killer and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Lady Detective didn't either.

Easily done. . Thank you! It is indeed. Incidentally, the following is about to air on movies24 should anyone be at a loose end. It looks like a particularly weak storyline, as befitting any "good" erotic drama... RADIO EROTICA Elizabeth's past lives are haunting her subconscious. She dreams of forbidden affairs she had in her former lives. Scared and unable to sleep, Elizabeth visits a sleep therapist.

I expect this will be a serious examination of sleep disorders, as the young lady in question visits her sleep therapist for a good shag in-depth discussions.
Seriously though, Radio Erotica? Will it be a postmodern porn film where you just hear things instead of see them?

Point 1: The "erotic" movies on Movies24 are about as erotic as a week at Butlins with Bella Emberg. Point 2: How come a Sidney Shelton was on True Movies 2 for 4 hours last night? It's an adaption of a book and not a true movie.
