I didn't want to start a thread for Penelope, as it really isn't that good enough to warrent one, but it has one of most lowculture casts in the history of lowculture.
James McAvoy from Shameless! Richard E Grant from the Argos adverts! Ronni Ancona from the Ronni Ancona Show!! Simon Woods from Cranford and Rome! Nigel Havers from the Arthur Llewellyn Jenkins adverts!!! Lenny Henry from The Lenny Henry Show! Russell Brand from Big Brother! Burn Gorman from Torchwood! Nick Frost from Spaced! Ross Boatman from London's Burning!
And to the jewel in the lowculture crown is none other than Audrey Roberts' Canadian son as the vicar! Audrey Roberts' Canadian son!!
That's not including proper Hollywood stars like Reese Witherspoon from Cruel Intentions and Catherine O'Hara from Best In Show and Peter Dinklage, who the last time I saw him in the cinema, was fighting off Jane Asher, who was trying to kill him for sleeping with her dead husband.
Are there any other films that can top this cast?

OK, it's nowhere near brilliant, but we've got a thread for St Trinian's and that's nowhere near adequate, so HEY. A very Lowculture cast for sure, though quite a few of the famous faces seemed to be shoehorned in for no discernible reason (Lenny Henry and Russell Brand in particular). That kind of spot-the-celeb approach was fine for Spiceworld: The Movie (it's not like they had to worry about derailing the plot) but not here. I also thought they could have done with someone convincingly ugly in the lead - I mean, Christina Ricci? Seriously?
