God only knows. I have been managing to watch nearly all of them, and it's very illuminating to see that it still doesn't make sense. Thumbs up for the non-continuity. For instance... In yesterday's weird romantic episode, a montage showed the forlorn Casey and his forlorn doctor crush going to bed not together; in today's hot action ep, later that same evening, she was at work and he was playing cupid and aiding and abetting Ben/Annie. Maybe they went to sleep, and then dreamed the stuff that followed?
I can see why Laura Harring felt comfortable working with David Lynch.

I only get to watch three episodes a week. The plot lines are never even remotely connected from episode to episode. Although Annie tends to fail to escape at least twice a week.
Excitingly, in yesterday's she was hiding in a hospital vent at the episode's close. We just saw her looking at the vent, and the next minute she was behind it. Maybe Paul Daniels was off-screen to help her do this?

Yay, a nice lovely thread with fellow obsessives to gossip with.
I'm so pleased I get to see the beginning of it all, as i only started watching it from the island-Scream-esque type storyline (which got me intrigued in the first place!)
A lot of the characters that are in it now I don't remember though, I'm looking forward to how they disappear.
I always liked the old Caitlin better than the later one. Isn't there some point where she's with nuns and Cole is looking for her? I think that was one of the first things i saw, too.
Goddddddd i'd forgotten about all the bloody flashbacks though! If i see cloaked ******* coming out of Del's door with Sean looking on one more time I may have to violently shake the TV.
(PS- the best bit so far has to Sean falling and comically hitting his head on the fireplace at the end of last week, and Tiffany going "Come on Sean, let's go. Sean....?")

Welllll....
*deep breath*
Her father, Del, has been murdered and the police suspect her for doing the dirty deed as he was going to take all her money away from her, and etc al. She was arrested and sent to jail. Her uncle, Al, who is a lawyer was brought in to help clear her name, as she insists she's innocent. But then he died, in *ahem* tragic circumstances with Bette in the jacuzzi. Now believing she had lost her last hope, Annie faked her own hanging so she could get to hospital, where she was helped to escape by Ben, who's being helped by Meg because she luuuuurves him (but shhh, it's a a secret). But Annie never got out of the hospital, and now she is hiding in Al's coffin (is it casket over there?) about to be cremated, except of course, Ben will save her in heroic fashion at way after the last minute.
Today's episode confuzzled me greatly. - how did Annie get into the CASKET without anyone seeing her? and, - how did she get Al out of the CASKET and into an unsuspecting member of the service also without being seen?!
The madness of SB.

Why have we stopped talking about this utterly brilliant show? I am a week behind and have just watched some classic stuff. Where plot is actually advancing slightly.
1) Eddie in a dress. I think he looks 100 times better with make-up on, but is too loveable now to remain a villain.
2) Meg and Ben's staring at each other reached a long long awaited crisis point - with some actual kissing! And Annie saw! Except then Ben flashbacked to "Mariaaaa" (and sounded exactly like Steve Coogan in "The Bureau") and suddenly it was all hands-off again.
3) Randy Spelling's head hurt and basically the whole cast stood around watching him get treated in the hospital.
WATCH IT.

Maria got swept away to sea!
I am going to be avidly watching over Christmas, anticipating her return...
...still wet.

She doesn't come back for at least two years so you'll be waiting a long time!
And Eddie as a woman... quietly disturbing. Why does he keep insisting on wearing it when he still clearly looks like Eddie any way?
Caitlin is slowly becoming my firm favourite - she's just fantastic. "Another piece of that magical blue beach glass!"

The end of today's episode was the best ever.
Annie has been running from the police and even pushed one off the pier as she thought they were trying to catch her(in fact she had been cleared) she climbs to the top of this tower and somehow falls off the edge and ben is holding her and pulls her onto the top of the tower. Then Meg comes up the tower and hugs Ben. Annie is feeling very jealous of this so chucks herself off the tower.

Bugger! Because of the BB Panto I've only been catching half of Sunset Beach, and because there was no BB5 DVD I've been taping the BB Panto, and I'm still trying to tape Sunset Beach when I'm in (not when I'm not as I don't want all the ads and long credits, and the flashbacks mean I don't miss too much) and only been getting half of it, and it's been getting quite complicated as it is. Hopefully they'll show it at the beginning of tomorrows episode.

Hmm, they appear to be showing some form of it at half past 3 in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays. I only discovered this yesterday so am quite perturbed as to what I might have already missed. I recorded it, but thus haven't watched it back, so I have no idea at what point in the madness they are at.
But hurrah for potential comeback!
