Back when she could hold her own, in the pre-Dory days. Ohh, I love her.

She was the only thing I liked about Finding Nemo, I thought that film was over-rated. Ellen is being repeated on that new ABC1 channel and I've managed to catch it now and again, but I'm still not used to having that channel and regularly get annoyed at having spent an afternoon at home and missed my American sit-com/drama-a-thon.

Ahh yes, back in the day Ellen was must see Friday night viewing for me. Hardly seems possible now. I did like her grumpy cousin. Oh, and little Audrey, she was cute, kind of a precurser of the Will and Grace woman, and a bit Six ish (Blossom).

Was Ellen not a bit like Cybil and Caroline & The City in that it never quite became the sitcom of the moment, but momentarily the best? Actually, Caroline actually surpassed Friends in terms of ratings when it first came out. I thought the show (Ellen) possibly got better after she came out - it seemed to have more depth. But regarding her cousin, I could not stand that pseudo-George Clooney style arrogance (but maybe that was just me). I loved Ellen's dippy Mom and if Audrey was the girl who wore pink, I loved her, plus Paige of course. I used to love the theme tune, but then it was those "hilarious" sketches at the start - all variations on Ellen giving "excuses" why there was "not yet" any proper titles.
