I loved watching Buffy, it used to be on at 6:45 on bbc2 on Thursdays.
I can't remember what season is which, but i loved Anya and Zander, the Musical episode, Halloween episodes and Glory.
However, Dawn and the stupid Marc Blucas as Agent Lavender or something should have been killed off. Dawn was stupid.

I never hated Dawn, I saw a bit too much of myself in her.

But never Drooooooo-silla, who was always a bit shit and looked unsettlingly like her Dad (Martin Landau) in a Morticia Adams fright-wig. I half-expected to find her sweating next to Barbara Bain next to an unexploded bomb while the Mission Impossible theme music played in the background.

Buffy seems so long ago now, and it's only been four years. It is certainly one of my favourite TV programmes.
My favourite seasons are probably season two- especially the two-part finale 'Becoming', and season three because of Faith.
I didn't mind season seven. I liked 'Chosen' and I loved Azura Skye as Cassie the doomed psychic girl.

Well fear not. Once More, With Feeling is going on tour! (In the US). www.myspace.com/thebuffysingalongIs it wrong to be more excited about Singalongabuffy than it is about the Spice Girls?

To this day my sister still occaisonally describes me as a 'lopsided hell God with a bad home perm'. If I could exalt your sister I would. And I still fancy Drusilla now. Juliet Landau hasn't done much since though.

It jumped before 'Once More...', which was a great episode.
Why isn't Buffy repeated on any Freeview channels?

It jumped before 'Once More...', which was a great episode. Why isn't Buffy repeated on any Freeview channels? It was on FX for a while (I'm not sure if Freeview gets that or not) and sometimes crops up on Sky Three as Sky seems to like to spread multi-season day-delay repeats across all the three channels because it's fun to confuse fans!

The musical episode is always called the show's jump the shark - but i really loved it I always thought the musical episode was pretty fondly regarded. I always assumed that ZOMG MAGIC IZ LYK DRUGZ!!!1111! was the show's real jump the shark point.

I think season 6, generally, just reclycled the plot of season 2: red herring baddie- bad shit happens leading to goodie turning bad- general emotional trauma- much beard stroking over the actualisation of metaphorical stuff- baddie tries to destroy universe- redeemed at the last minute- BUT AT WHAT COST???- ends with a Sarah Mclachlan song to cry to. The main difference is, all of the components were vastly inferior. The trio were never threatening, most of the emotional trauma was boring because they weren't in high school any more, as Steven said- the Magic=Drugz=Bad spiel was rubbish, especially in comparision to 'omg I slept with my boyf and it's like he's another person' that season 2 had. And the Sarah Mclachlan song wasn't a patch on 'Full of Grace'.
It just came across as really cynical, like, 'what worked before? Ooh lets just do that again and think people won't notice...'

It was pretty poor, though it had some great moments. Xander's yellow crayon speech can fuck right off though.
Having said that we should have seen "hmm, Magic's bad, mkay" coming a mile off when watching Beer Bad, where Buffy spent an hour running around with messy hair saying "Fire bad, tree pretty" because she'd had a few mystical beverages.
That was a load of shite.

when I see pics like these I really get upset. I don’t think she looks that bad, but maybe my judgement is impaired because I’m quite poorly at the moment. And it doesn’t look like I‘ll be getting better anytime soon, but luckily for me I have the Big Buffy Box Set to help me through this difficult time. I’ve been watching it from the beginning, wrapped in a blanket, and it’s cheered me up no end. I think I might have to skip some of the episodes though. I’m probably too fragile to sit through Lies My Parents Told Me again. My God, that was a load of shit.

I'm getting a bonus from work. I should eithe pay off my overdraft, but I know I'm going to blow it on box-sets.

I've only ever seen one episode of Buffy and that was 'Once More...' about two months ago. According to the boy this means I've failed at life. I've been promised an 'induction'* when we get back to uni.
* I'm being made to watch all the box sets - one after the other - possibly without food/sleep
