Got up before 7am this morning for the first time in about eighteen months, and found BBC2 were showing 'Spacevets'! And it was every bit as fantastic as I remembered! Ann Bryson was in it! She plays Mona! And Dogsbody was there, and he went on to present some animal facts show on CBBC with a poodle, but was always more interesting as a character actor! And Number Two, who was a bit like Rimmer, but with blond dreadlocks, and not dead! And the Captain, who was a kid, but that's about all he did today, because he wasn't really essential to the plot, but I'm sure he will be some other day!
There was a bit where lots of flowers grew out of holes in the set all at once! It was just like the Fimbles, but sci-fi! And with better theme music, which the stupid presenters talked all over this morning, what with that being the thing that they do in 2005, but they never used to do that when it was first shown in 1993 or 1994 or 1995, or whenever it was!
Anyway, it's great!
Yes!

Fascinating FACT:
The London from the Blakes 7 episodes Space Fall and Cygnus Alpha appears in Space Vets.
(I only know this because the Season 2 Blake DVD tells me this.)
It also appears in Doctor Who story Dragonfire.
