As I am too young to remember this being transmitted (first series in 1996, i'd be... 6. I was wondering what everyone else thought of it.
I have only heard good things so far.

It is really ridiculously fantastic. Highlights would be Ally McSqueal, the toy remake with a mouse in the lead role and a very catchy theme song ("I've been moaning about my life / Trying hard to cope with all the stress / It's not easy being kooky, rich and sexy too / It isn't fair my life is such a mess / Oh yes"); The 1980s House where Adam, as the mum, wears a power suit ("I feel... powerful"), puts bacon in the sandwich toaster and then they all play Swingball; and Ken Korda's advice on how to put together your own crap band, reminding you to change the names (one of them is rechristened Funty).
If you can find it, get the book as well. The script where PJ and Duncan are trying to rescue Cat from kidnappers is gold, as is the Ruscoe H Spellgood song.

Before Adam & Joe there was Takeover television, the idea being that people made their own TV and had it broadcast a bit like You've Been Framed but without the pretence that the gags weren't made up. Adam & Joe made stuff for this (all the funny bits).
I only mention it because I made the title sequence for one episode (it changed every week) when I was at college.
+ Ms Scissors I'm twice your age!!! eek

This show rocked, why do you think it is my ever unchanging avatar?
I loved the People Place sketch at the service station, "Give it a whiz and mugs there is!" and the one they did at the cinema. It was spoofing daytime tv. Anyone who has to endure Fiona Phillips in the morning will recognise how bang on the money it is.
I also really love the How to bits. There was one about going to a gig and an episode I have on tape where they teach you how to behave when you pass your driving test.
It was a great show, although the Star Wars bits they used to do all the time got on my tits quite abit.
Buy the DVD, but there is lots missing off it unfortunately.

The best bet is still the Showgirls spoof with Nitme, I am laughing just thinking about it. I also loved Quizlesticks and the Star Trek the Next Generation tribute song. Another classic is that the only time they had a couple of 'celebs' on the show it was Irish Girlband Duo Buffalo G! They should release every series on DVD, if only for more Louise songs "Welcome to the extras menu, my names Louise, and this is my song for the extras menu..."

Sorry to double post but i've now watched every episode and it really is beyond fantastic!
It's just so good. I don't even have a favourite bit. Though inevitably, the film spoofs pissed me off if I hadn't seen the actual film.

How is it possible that no-one has mentioned the Star Wars/Crystal Maze sketch, with Yoda in the Richard O'Brien part? "No time have you left. Shafted are you!"
Other highlights - Seven (with a serial killer offing his victims in the style of the seven dwarves), American Beauty and the game show Quizzlesticks.
Another DVD I really should get....

I knew about this and have looked for it and just cannot find it anywhere. The DVDs I have bought have every episode of every series of Adam and Joe and it is nowhere to be found. Is there any chance this was part of another project Adam and Joe did or have I just not been paying attention?

I so wish they'd come back.
Although at least I get to hear them on the radio every weekend, not quite as good but still better than most stuff on the radio nevertheless

Unfortunately, you can find it but only if you're willing to pay £30+ for it. I'm pretty gutted to say the least. I have to say though, the internet folder that's floating around called "The Adam & Joe album" is definately worth a find. It has the Tetris song, Ruscoe H Spellgood and a full version of Ken Korda's band 1471's song "Please Please, Hold The Line"

I met Adam Buxton last summer. He was really nice, had a massive beard and talked about his love for Louis Theroux. Unfortunately, Baaad Daaad wasn't there. I would have asked about him, but I was a bit worried he night have died or something.

Ok, I just paid practically £30 for The Adam & Joe Book. I'm an idiot, aren't I?
I mean, it's pretty rare a a great collector's item for all die hard fans... but I really am a fucking idiot.

This has just prompted me to Google him and I have to say The Beard Must Go. And when it has, please pop round.

The crystal maze thing was part of a c4 retro documentary or something - but it's online now! I have just seen every episode (apart from series 2 for some reason) on 4oD on Virgin tv. Having never seen it before, I thought I'd take a punt and I loved it straight away. Favorites include people place and the random "dos and donts". I also loved where the went round the motorway service stations rating them out of 10 for each egg sandwich they found

I always really liked the Adam And Joe show when it was on. I got the DVD for Christmas last year.
The toy movies were fantastic. Saving Private Lion , American Beautoy and Toytanic were all very good, as were the Star Wars spoofs of TV shows, especially Star Wars In Their Eyes and Who Wants To Be Killed On Air?. Chew've Been Framed (I loved Yoda's reaction to the clip they send in not making it on the show. "Much better than any of that shit was our clip!").
Quizelstick was brilliant as well, as was the sketch when they try to organise a piss-up in a brewery.
The DVD is well worth getting.

The toy version of This Life is hilarious, and is just what the recent reunion should have been more like.

I loved it at the time, but the DVD showed that it hasn't aged all that well, and I didn't think it was as funny. Oh, the ravages of ageing.
