These three guys pretty much owned the genre for a good few decades, so which of theirs is your favourite?
For me it's a three horse race between Hi-De-Hi!, 'Allo 'Allo and Are You Being Served?, with the latter just winning. I love a good innuendo, multi-coloured hair and jokes you can see coming from a mile off.
I've not even see 5,6,7 and 9. Apparently Come Back Mrs Noah was awful, although I don't understand how sci fi hijinx featuring Molly Sugden on a Space Station can be labelled so.

Oh, Damn! I ironically voted for You Rang because I enjoyed the terribleness, but Hi-Di-Hi is the bomb - I didn't see it on there!!
I'd love to see Come Back Mrs Noah. It sounds awesome.

I had a French movie from lovefilm.com a few weeks ago called Lucie Aubrac, starring the French Marcia Cross, Carole Bouquet, and Daniel Autiel, as a real life couple who led the resistance. At times I couldn't take it seriously, waiting for someone to turn up with the immortal line "Tis I, LeClerc". For that reason alone I voted for Allo Allo.

It's all about 'Allo, 'Allo for me. I still find it funny today. And when I was growing up, it seemed so rude.
Am I the only one who thinks Dad's Army is overrated though?

It's been tainted by the fact that my Grandad loves it so much. It could also do with more women characters and a few nob gags.

I appreciate 'Dads' Army' more as I get older. Some of the lines are very clever, especially Private Godfrey. I see they're doing a new stage version of it with Leslie Grantham, and the bloke with the turkey jiblet nose off Emmerdale as Captain Mainwaring.
It has to be 'Are You Being Served' every time for me. It never fails to make me laugh. I bought 'Grace & Favour' a couple of years ago, and whilst it's nothing like the original, it still has some good points. Mr Humphries' relationship with Mavis the farm girl in particular.
I'm surprised 'Come Back Mrs Noah' didn't get a UKGold repeat.

Mrs Noah doesn't get repeated for the simple reason it's feckin awful!
Voted for IAHHM as it's the one I remember most from my childhood, the last episode is heart breaking.

I think Dad's Army is probably the best but Allo, Allo is my favorite by a mile. When I was really young I wanted to be Vikki Michelle (Yvette) even more than I wanted to be Kylie.

I am ridiculously excited about the new episode of Allo Allo they're showing on BBC2 this Saturday night. They're wrapping it up in a new documentary about the show, followed by a classic episode, giving us a whole glorious evening of Artois entertainment. One small problem though - it might be rubbish.

My friend went to the recording and said it was very rushed and under-rehearsed. Apparently they had the two airmen ready to do a scene but never got round to actually shooting it.

'Allo 'Allo for me! I loved the sexual tension between Herr Flick of the Gestapo and Helga, his saucy sidekick with the braids. She was so glam, I kind of aspired to be her, which is rather worrying.
This is a bit embarrassing, but I remember being completely stunned when around the time Gorden Kaye got a tree stuck in his head, I learned that he was not in fact French. I'm not sure how I managed to mistake 'Allo 'Allo for a Ken Loach style documentary drama, but I did.

Did any of the Glasgow lowculturers go and see the stage version of 'Allo Allo' a couple of years ago performed by the cast of 'Take The High Road'? I kid you not!

I wanted to but the thought of Davie Sneddon as Rene and Mrs Mack as Edith put me off.

It's got to be Allo Allo, although Secret Army, the show it's taking the piss out of, is probably one of my favourite BBC dramas of all time.
