I just remembered this program called "Knots Landing". I would imagine it is similar to "Dallas", "Dynasty" and the ilk. I never wittingly watched it, but I would sometimes be tricked into it because my Mum used to tape over all my classic films with episodes of "Knots Landing".
I lost "Jaws", "Jaws 2", "Indiana Jones And The Raiders Of The Lost Ark" and countless other essential films through this torturous method. Please feel my pain.

It was always one of those shows that was on TV when I was off sick from school. I don't know why but I never really took to it. It was a bit too 'daytime Dallas-lite'.
I can't remember if it was Knot's Landing or Falcon Crest (they're kind of amalgamated into the same show in my consciousness) that was actually a spin-off from Dallas? Whichever it was, the fact that Bobby Ewing died was a pivotal plot device, so when in Dallas he came back from the dead like Jesus, but in a shower instead of a cave with an Easter egg at the door, the spin-off had to exist in an alternate universe where Bobby was still dead.

There's only one person that I can name that featured in "Knots Landing" and that's Nicolette Sheridan. The only reason I know that is because I looked it up on IMDB before I did my post. You have to love IMDB.

Knots was THE best thing to come outta TV in the 80's. The show is just so damn good and extremely well written and crafted, unlike Dallas which was a mess most of the time. They released Series 1 on DVD but no one bought it and they cancelled the release of series 2.
