Does anyone remember Northern Exposure? That was one of my favourite shows, along with Larry Sanders. I wish they'd bring it back, i miss the caribou

Trufax...This is my mum's favourite programme ever...
I never watched it, but did someone get hit on the head by a falling satellite? A-may-zing

The woman had a big mole by her eyebrow which I always found off putting.
It was only ever gentle quirkyness which soon lost its charm for me. The town was founded by lesbians! yes, and?
The story line was early 90's feeble man and savvy woman will they or won't they get together.
I never found out what happened in the end.

I really loved it at first but then got a bit bored with it. There was too much Maggie and Doctor boringness. I had a bit of a thing for Ed, the Native American Ramone, until he sort of grew out of his face. I think I watched the episode where he lost his virginity quite a few times, which is a bit creepy of me as he clearly had some kind of profound learning disability.

This was ace. If Cicely was a real place with the same characters living in it, I'd move there tomorrow.
You shouldn't feel too bad about fancying Ed, Audrey. He may have been a grown man wearing mittens, but he was able to shoot and edit his own short films and managed to land himself a part in Cry Baby, which was no mean feat.

My parents visited the town where it was filmed in Alaska and bought me a Northern Exposure nightshirt (just to be clear, that wasn't the only reason they went to Alaska. That would have been a very expensive present indeed).
I found this lent my fantasies about being driven off on a motorbike by Chris the hippy DJ (before he got all lardy on SATC) a more authentic tilt.
They were selling the 1st and 2nd series for a fiver each in Fopp a couple of months ago before the place went down the shitter. I bought them for my mum although strangely enough I've watched them all and I don't think she's even watched one episode....
