You can either smite (take away) or exalt (add to) people's karma 'score' as you like. Some people use it rarely, some more often. It's all confidential, none of us mere mortals can see who's smiting who or whatnot.
I exalted you because you're a newcomer who seems to have 'got' the board pretty quickly, and because you specifically reference people's names in your reply, which I like. But generally we don't talk about who/what/why when it comes to karma for obvious reasons. There's plenty of time for you to become a twat and me to smite you yet, however!

I believe in karma, what you give is what you get returned.
I've given up on karma now. There was a time when it excited me when I got exalted but it's been stuck in a rut for some time now, haha.
But there's already a thread on this int there?

You exhalt people you like, or if you like one of their comments, and you smite someone if you don't like them or one of their comments. You can only smite once an hour.
