But it's only tomorrow night until it's on. A list of fabulous BG related things: - Saint Frances
- Nasty Nat getting crazy with Kris and Selena
- The Costa Cons
- Di Barking
- The return of Wetsy Betsy
...and hopefully Fenner's downfall. I can't believe that it was only last series he managed to bump off Yvonne -- Nat and Frances have properly pulled the show through from what could've been a disaster. But only four episodes left! They've really upset the rhythm of the series by doing this. Events are supposed to build to a climax, not get stalled just as they're becoming interesting.

Is Darlene Cake still in there? Or am I very, very, very wrong/slow/stupid?
The only reason I got into Bad Girls was because of her and Tanya. I can't really get into it, even tho I know it's a bit of a gem.

Yeah, Darlene's still in there -- isn't she a lifer? Or was it just GBH?
If you only started watching when Tanya came into it, it was so Turner-centric I can see how it might've been difficult to get into the rest of the plots. Try getting the earlier series on DVD (borrow from a mate or second hand). Series One is really girtty, it's like a different show. Series Three is the defining classic series.

I only watched this series because of the Tanya appearance, but recently borrowed series 1-4 on DVD from my friend and had several marathon sessions. I am now totally, absolutely and utterly hooked on the programme.
Hurry up Monday.

Ah, fabulous as expected. And good to see who's returning next week!
But what was going on with the sound? Either very poorly dubbed or I've got an ear infection...

ITV's been doing it for days now. I thought last night's ep was a bit... rubbish. Very poorly written. Look at 'er Teen, jus' a little wisp of a woman, a shadow of her former self... Um, what? It was also badly edited -- where was Fenner setting up the deal with the bit of rough honey trap? However! - The Honey Trap!
- Crazy Di beating up Fenner!
- Nasty Nat being nasty!
- That ending!
So it wasn't all bad.

Nu-Sylvia was good, anyway.
"Oh, Darlene. I know you people are sunny-natured, but there's no need to be gullible."

Last night's was a little slow too, I thought.
I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, it just seemed to be all build-up and very little pay-off.
Next week's looks like a corker, mind.

It did have the return of Wetsy Betsy (Oh piss off! / Bloody hell! / Bollocks!) looking rough as.
They wouldn't bring Karen back and not bring Jim down, would they?

I was surprised to see Dr. No-No back - didn't he get laid off in an earlier series? Did he come back in series 5? I still haven't seen that series yet, roll on the 23rd!

Fabulous. But what does it all mean -- was the ending a flash-forward or just Fenner imagining what was going to happen? I thought the latter given it started out a bit woozy and black and white, but...? Does anyone know if there's going to be another series? Surely, there must be!!

I was confused too, he's been jailed then I presume. The woman who plays Sylvia was on Loose Women Monday and said they start filming again in November up until June of next year, so there should be plenty more to come.

The best part about the finale of course was the Cake/Buxton scrap. Especially when Natalie pulled out Darlenes false hair.
The ending was obviously supposed to leave you guessing. They've left so if the guy who plays him wants to return and writers and producers decide they want him next series they can write it off as being all imagined but if not then it's a fitting end.
And I get a feeling we won't be seeing him again. From the impression I get Natalie has been built up to replace him so to speak. She's now gonna be the pure evil big bad who always ends up on top.

But havent they more or less ended/got rid of all the cast now;
Grayling - Sacked, and not returning as he wants to be an MP in real life. Fenner - "Jailed" and not wanting to return Karen Betts - Off murder charge and not wanting to return. Hedges - Who knows Kris - Prob shipped to another prision after that fiasco, not wanting to return in real life. Selena - Deffo sacked from being a prison officer, but I think they'll have her show up at the end of next series 1 episode as a new inmate. It's better than Vanish ads for a career isn't it? Tina - Released, though I have a sneeking suspicion she will be back if there's another series. Natalie - Sent to the block and "Shipped out in the morning".
That leaves the two julies, the costa cons, darlene, di, bodybag and Eva Pope. That would mean a lot of new faces next series, and with Bad Girls recent track record of new inmates, Nikki II (aka Kris), Bev, Phyl, the unscary "Scary" Natalie Buxton and *Dare I say it* Buki I'm not exactly expectng much from the new series if there is one. Then again Shed are the same people who revamped Footballers Wives Series 3 when most of the main cast left and Darlene is possible the best character in the history of well acted Prison Dramas, so maybe they'll shock me yet.

But havent they more or less ended/got rid of all the cast now; As far as I know, Nasty Nat and Saint Frances are both interested in doing another series and will be back. Fenner's not signed for the new series, so he won't be back. Now Fenner's been exposed as a cross-dressing murderer, I'd imagine all of the evidence in the tribunal will be thought of as suspect, so Neil may be back. Karen wasn't a main character anyway, she only came back to guest this series. Hedges will probably be back. As for Kris and Selena, maybe they'll be this series' Cassie and Rois? I think it's a bit harsh to write off the show when last series we lost Babs, Buki, Yvonne, Snowball, Karen, Shell, Denny... et cetera. This series was far stronger than series five, even without all those main characters -- surely that's the show's strength, a changing ensemble? So long as Nat and Frances come back, it should work just fine.
