That mans name must be in the description for the words arrogant and bastard (perhaps annoying and twat as well)
Discuss the programme here.

These people make you realise that the French were right in 1789.

Aw I missed it due to being down the pub. What were they saying/doing to be so awful?

He was homophobic and racist, in the most incredably english way.
Here's a quote:
Francis: Arthur (his son) had been out for the day and he came back and he told me all about it and mentioned that there were some germans there. And I said "Germans, how awful!" and he said, "there was one good thing daddy" and I said "what's that?" and he said "one of the germans was disabled" and I said "That's my boy!"

The word I would use to discribe him - Honest
What I enjoyed about the programme was that he really didn't give a toss, no playing up to the camera. He was quite open that he had only opened the door to them because they were paying him.
No he wasn't a nice man, and the children were savages as well. I don't find it at all shocking that country bumpkins hold these kind of views. It wasn't too different to the Osbournes.
The dogs cleaning the plates stacked in the dishwasher made me laugh.

And kudos to the mum for throwing the kids' TV in the lake. I felt so sorry for her; she seemed to be the only person in the entire house with any grasp of normality, and no one paid her any attention.

i taped it, I'm actually wondering whether to spend time watching it now. Think Prince Phillip, but less PC. For the last 1000 years the Fulfords have been single mindedly defending their little corner of England and producing heirs to their family. The house is a ruin and there's no cash to spare. It's rather entertaining.

Oh it was brilliant.
I really, really enjoyed it.
We have to understand that Mr Fulford has had his views put into him from a very young age as have his kids and so in my opinion is almost excused for anything he comes out with.
He's a harmless old toff, and nothing he said in that programme offended me, in fact, it was somewhat refreshing to see people speaking thier minds rather than worrying out "what is and what isnt PC this week.."
I literally could quite happily watch a whole series of this.
I loved it when he was saying how he wouldn't want his sons to be gay, whilst holding an axe, and chopping wood.
I also loved the story about Germans. I've not laughed so much since Big Brother replaced Stuarts HUGE cowboy hat, with the tiiiny one.
Rock on the Fulfords!

Hmmmmm, I seem to be in a minority here.
I agree that the man was honest and I did find him entertaining, but I'm not sure I would describe as harmless someone who would probably be happy to see half the people from this board lined up against a wall and shot. I was brought up in a Daily Mail reading, Thatcher voting, queer hating household, but saw reason and sense at a very early age - are these people just too thick to think for themselves?

I didn't watch it because from the trailer it just appeared to be an hour of toffs swearing. Whoopie shit.
I might watch it next week, though.

I saw bits of it.
What I didn't understand; if they were so poor then how come they could afford to send their sons to a private school? Or am I mistaken?
