If you like magazines, you should definitely buy Top Of The Pops. The new issue has Girls Aloud in space, a lovely McFly poster mag, a free stationery set and a special appearance by Betty Turpin from Corrie on the front cover! It's beautifully designed, too. A steal at just £2. Or even more of one if you just nick it from the shop, which obviously I do not recommend at all.

TOTP magazine is good.
I loved the edition when they had all those wind up Gareths + Christinas and Charlie from Busteds. Mutter mutter little children have no taste(about them not liking those)
Girls Aloud always appear in it. For which I am very greatful.
And in previous issues, all the Blue people have revealed things that are secret. And Lee has been put in some incredibly stupid poses. Bless him.

Top Of The Pops is a nice magazine, or at least it was when I last read it. Posher than Smash Hits, but sadly still featuring too much Blazin' Squad.

TOTP was fab when it first came out back in 1995. it was a refreshing change, a good bridge between Smash Hits and the ore serious mags. However it soon degenerated into a teeny mag.
I don't think the mag really reflects the show, which is more balanced in musical styles.

I don't think the mag really reflects the show. Given the state of the show these days, isn't that a good thing?

Imagine my dismay at realising that all the free stationery sets were pink. I wanted a purple one!
I like that the magazine is specifically tailored to twelve-year-old girls and me. Although I was a bit worried when I saw the Girls Aloud were floating in space without spacesuits on. That's not setting a very good example.

Don't worry, no Girls Aloud were harmed in the making of this magazine. My favourite bit is Nicola floating around with her slice of space cake. As for stationery colours, you need to shop around. They are definitely available in "three cute colours"!

I started buying TOTP in 96 and stopped in 2002. And I used to keep every copy, I've sadly threw them out since.
It really was great back in 1996-2000 but sort of started being a bit crap.
I miss 1996

What's up with Sarah's Linda Blair twisttastic head there? Nicola looks like she's halfway through a really painful poo, and Cheryl and Kim look like a couple. Perfect.
I've never read TOTP magazine. Oh well!

I bet my 'Who's David Noquestionmark' could kick your 'Toxic's ass though.

I attempted 'Superstar' the other night in the privacy of my living room.
No human will EVER see me do this in person.
Thank you.

I did 'Superstar' with my own dance steps (intended for when I perform it on Pop Idol 3) at the Popjustice £20 Music Prize night.
Fortunately no one remembers.
I hope.

"And I would have gotten away with it, if it weren't for you meddling kids."
Seriously: never let me dance in public when people have cameras.

They keep putting the price up. I think the worst part of the magazine is it's design.

Two pound, you say?! I remember the good old days, when you could get Smash Hits (none of this smashHITS / S.mASHits!!! nonsense) and Top of the Pops, and still have change for a mix up...
When I were a mincing little queer with a penchant for inflatable Spice Girls and pink, glittery CD holders that fell to bits if you put actual CDs in them lad...
