it;s shit.
I only read it cos I had too, and that was an uphill struggle. That ANYONE would even like the opening chapter, let only discribe it as 'near-perfect' (we did an essay with that in the title) baffles me.
Though the whole book you're just willing on the stalker guy to kill him to end the whole terrible thing.

I got bored of it within a few pages. So bored I couldn't carry on with it. Which is odd as I liked Amsterdam and loved Atonement.
I just didn't care.

Enduring Love is great, superior to Amsterdam which just collapses at the end.
Must dig out my copy and reread it.

Well I liked it too. Especially the bits about academics being a bit, y'know... odd. I am one. I know.

Not a bad book but very overrated. The first chapter just felt contrived to shock and didn't do it for me at all. Still enjoyed reading the rest though.

I've seen the film and thats very good, as it's all built up to reveal that it's all in his head but it ain't.

I didn't like the film. It felt a bit short. The opening few minutes are horrific and beautifully concieved but the rest of it felt a bit rushed. Samatha Morton was criminally underused and her part is really underwritten as well. On the plus side one of the Aitken sisters is in it!!!
