I got given this off my sister to read and I didn't have high hopes.
For some reason I thought I hated Piers Morgan before I read this but since reading this I think i had him confused with Dominic Mohan and he (Piers) actually seems a bit of a dick at times but pretty likeable.
I thought it was really interesting. A really good insight into how the newspaper media operates.
I recommend this.

I want to buy this, but I genuinly hate Piers Morgan and don't want to give him the money. Off to the Library for me then

Last week Private Eye ran an article highlighting the glaring inaccuracies in Piers diary. It's obviously been written at breakneck speed since he was booted off the Mirror. Accordiding to the "Diary", Piers must have been some kind of medium. He talks about things that have not yet happened, places people and events in anachronistic order and generally fucks about with history. It's all a total fallacy. Spend the sixteen quid on a few pints of beer, vodka chasers and a packet of chips on the way home instead.

Hmmm, there are anecdotes in it where he can remember, word perfect run-ins he's had with various people which he reckons is the exact result of him writing them up as soon as they've happened just becaue he thinks they'd be useful later.
That seems a bit suspect. No-one can remember a conversation they've had completly without swaying the content in favour of one side more than the other i'm sure.

It's an okay, if long, read.
There are some amusing stories (for example Piers getting attacked by Jeremy Clarkson), but it's mostly Piers being a smug moron.
Better books to read about celebrities, such as Geri Halliwells autobiography (a car crash read).
