Cannot wait for this.
Microserfs was always my favourite of his books -- I'm just worried it's going to be a huge let down. That's based on Eleanor Rigby and Hey! Nostrodamus, both of which kind of disappeared up their own arses.
I wish he'd just keep it simple. The part in Microserfs where Dan's Mom has her stroke and she communicates through the PC and calls Karla 'my dttr' makes me catch my breath every time I read it. It's so brilliant for being so basic.
I have high hopes for this.

Is there not a link from the website to the Cubes figures?
I don't get why they are Cubes, Minifigs would have made more sense - and then on the book cover it's old school lego figures??
Would Ethan be old enogh to have had these toys?
Anyway, just started the book and it's very funny. I wonder how hard it is to translate Dennis? Although most references are global there are some very technical ones (which are over my head). Also the design of the pages is very specific - can you stick to this once translated? Can you translate something in Elmer Fudd: Bwoonnhilde Kill the wabbit
Or do you just leave it?
I also love the page with:
A pair of oversize green foam latex Incredible Hulk boxing gloves with built-in Hulk noises
