The new PS2 design is so beautiful. Sure, so it's the original but smaller - it's still lovely. I really quite want it.

I've always felt it looked a bit 80's...

It doesn't look that good. I don't like the shiny stripe down the middle.

Hey Becky, what do you mean by PSX?
The PSTwo is silent as well, so if anyone else is fed up of hearing the hoover like noise coming out of your Playstation it's worth picking one up. It's tiddly!

The PSX was Sony's dev name for the original PlayStation, so a lot of self-proclaimed 'hardcore' videogame fans referred to the PS as the PSX for, well, forever. But then Sony released a proper PSX in Japan - a pretty, white, PS2 with Tivo-style hard-disk recording capabilities. It is beautiful, but it is too big, I think.

Do you know if it will ever get a UK release, and did all features make it onto it in the end (ie audio playback etc.)?

I doubt it'll come over here, if only because there's not enough time between the point when the PS3 hype starts to roll and now for there to be a decent launch. But it hasn't been that successful in Japan, anyway. Most of the heralded features made it in intact, or have been added with software upgrades, I think.
