I have to start a post about this as it is the cutest thing I've seen in ages. Nintendogs on DS is creating quite a bit of puppy madness on gaming sites at the moment.
Info - Nintendogs is a virtual pet game where gamers play around with one of 15 different dog breeds. The DS will use its unique functions in the game. Owners can play with their pooches using the DS's touch-screen pad, call out their puppy's name by yelling into the microphone, or even issue commands such as "sit" and "stay" by barking at the handheld. The game features more than 150 items that can be used to entertain cybercanines.
Nintendo is taking a very unique method in publishing Nintendogs. The company will release the game in three different packages, which will each start off with five different puppies. You'll be able to unlock the remaining 10 puppies that aren't available by default for your cartridge by playing the game and communicating with other owners of Nintendogs, like in a virtual dog park. Another feature sees the game communicating with other Nintendog owners and virtual dogs even in the DS's sleep mode.

You have to see some videos of it to really appreciate just how cute it really is! The puppies jumping over a skipping rope is the funniest thing I've seen in ages.
This reminds me of a series of games called Dogz, and Catz and things like that that came out a few years ago on the PC. But this looks better.
There was another one called Oddballz where you got to look after a 'creatively' drawn alien. They all looked stupid and the game was shit,
I used to love casting a reign of terror over my Catz by starving them and spraying them with water. The bastards were terrified of my Hand of Doom cursor thing.
Oh my God this game looks unbelievably cute! I love the name, too. It's dead cute. I'll probably get edition two (if this game gets released in English).
It's definitely coming over. There's a lot more to it than the other simulators but yes, it is along the same lines. Nintendo tends to only release multiple versions when they know the game is going to sell by the bucket load. None of their games have had 3 version on release I don't think so this could be an indicator of what this is going to do. I can't wait to get my Shiht-zu! You have to see it in motion to see how cute the dogs really are!
This is from about a year ago, but you can check a movie out here:

Nintendogs hacks me right off. My dog is an absolute 'tard and I am sat there shouting into a souped up Game Boy trying to make it sit. Waste of my time.
