Have you seen that advert where the woman goes through the day with a handbag full of old crap? Then takes Senokot (containing natural Senna) and dumps her load.
Natural or not if you take them anywhere aproaching regularly laxative are extremely bad for you.
In the U.S they have loads of adverts for prescription drugs on TV, I think there are regulation against this in Britain but it's a worrying trend.

I am quite skeptical about them. I mean, on the advert they make out you can use them, them in the morning you'll be ready to go. But I expect in reality you'd wake up in the middle of the night and dash to the toilet.

It's really rather clever. Fruit cubes are better though. Avoid Milk of Magnesia (if that's what it's called and if anyone still uses this nonsence) my dad plied my with this as a kid and I shit my mini flares. Yes, I have spent the last 29 years in a permanent state of constipation limbo. Sennacot isn't a prescription drug, so there's no advertising problem. I do love the obscure euphamisms in the ads for "having a big satisfying shite". |
