Saw the new government ad today for anti-bullying where kids tell adults through various means - filling in a crossword, fridge magnets, noodle doodles - they're being bullied and need saved. It would bring a tear to a glass eye! (But not as much as the Cancer Research magic mirror/Eva Cassidy campaign with the dead relatives standing behind you).

Ah, it's true, that cancer advert did make me cry. I volunteered for a year at Cancer Research, how much of a donation do you think that works out to?

I havn`t seen those as yet as I hardly watch TV, But the road safety adverts always make me fill up. Elms, thats a very good thing you did, you deserve a halo!

I don't like the smoking man where he talks about seeing his daughter but then it says he died and never saw her

bloke's dad died from cancer recently (not smoking related) and I have to dive for the remote control every time that advert comes on, it is deeply upsetting. We still both smoke though. So it hasn't really worked. Just makes us change channel.

Yes Tufty can have that effect on people! I remember a board game I had involving Tufty and crossing various roads. Seeing things like Tufty and old men with beards make me feel sad and want to cry for some reason.

I much preferred the bullying adverts of about 8 years ago.
What yer gonna do about it?
What yer gonna do about it?
What yer gonna do about it?
Chorused a sequence of damaged youths who didn't recieve enough love at home but had a lot of money to spend on trainers and friends so it doesn't matter.
What are you going to do about?
Asked the kindly, slightly Yorkshire accented lilting man's voice, before instructing you to talk to a teacher or adult you trust.
For some reason it stayed with me in exacting detail.
