Brad = fit bod + odd face
Glad Cassie is leaving. Was she ever meant to have had mixed parentage? She was the darkest skinned character I've ever seen in the bay, in a Jodie Marsh kind of way. And what was wrong with eyes? Always so puffy, was she ill in real life?

For people who cant wait to hear about hair and departures Kim gets a haircut and looks vaguely good looking again (sorry, I just dont get the attraction) and Cassie is not gone forever, oh no! I dont think the actress (Sharni Vincen) is ill, she is one of these health nuts who does loads of exercise and has bizzzarre smoothies with oats and crap in for meals. Ridiculous. She's being more creative with a side fringe at times too in Aus episodes, therefore slightly reducing the forehead exposure

Oh fucking horse teethed Martha and her hideous slagging off of the MIGHTY MORAG. How dare she! The poignancy of Morag's teensy farewell kiss with Alf, and her tears, darn near broke my heart! Oh, and that's without mentioning the Sally stabbing fandango, the weird sister back for revenge on Amanda, and Kit and Kim...it's all going on in the bay.
Has anyone else been irritated by the fact that every time they show Cassie and Macca in the City they play lots of traffic noise?

Home and Away: The Early Years started this morning on Five Life. It will run from 10-11am on weekdays. Possibly followed by Sunset Beach? No! That's just dreaming!
Anyway I didn't see if myself, but from reading a blurb of tomorrow's episode, they are here:
"Peta moves in with Edward. Gypsy announces her decision to leave school. A misunderstanding ruins Donald's dinner date with Judith, as she ends up spending the evening with Joel."
And to be honest I have no idea where that is. Not in the Shane and Angel days, when I remember it. Must have been in the hiatus inbetween. Is definitely gonna be worth a peek or two, though!

I thought that H and A the Early Years was going to be right from the beginning, in the glory days when Alf still had a store and people actually stayed at the caravan park.
Never mind though - at least the period they're in is pre-Original and Super Hot Flynn. Hopefully won't have to wait too long for him to turn up!

I watched the start of The Early Years today and was astonished by the size of the cast at that point - there's dozens of them! I'm desperately trying not to get into it though - the Saturday Home and Away ominibus is already taking up too much of my Saturday without another five hours a week to fit in, somehow.

That sounds like the early years as in when Five first got the rights to H&A. It's from then on that I didn't watch it that much. Maybe I'll watch it again to catch up on the 6 years that I've missed coz having watched the current omnibus I am hooked, without knowing any characters other than Sally, Alf, Irene and Colleen (and figuring out Martha must be Roo Stewart's daughter she had with Brett Macklin - or was it with Frank, I can't remember!). Can anyone explain to me what the deal is with mean sister who made her other sister (who is very similar looking to Hope or Faith from lamo ABC comedy Hope & Faith) think she knocked over some man and killed him? It's a gripping storyline but not knowing the characters or their backgrounds I am baffled by it all. Also, how is that girl nice-tormented-engaged sister's daughter - they look the same age practically! must be the sea air in Summer Bay that keeps them youthful!

The episode where Hot Flynn had to do the nude calender in order to raise money for the Drop-In-Centre was the best episode of Home and Away EVAH!
Re booers queries:
The horsey looking sister is called Kelli - she is evil. The properly strung out engaged sister is called Amanda. As far as I can gather Amanda caused Kelli to be in a pretty serious accident and Kelli is still quite fucked off about it. Amanda used to be a mega-bitch so it may have something to do with that as well. Now that she is with formerly dead detective Peter she has gone all nice.
Also Amanda's daughter (Belle) looks as old as her because Amanda was a jailbaitastic 14 when she had her.

Wow! I watched some early years stuff this morning, and it was funny how many people I have forgotten entirely. How far away from Martin Dingle-Wall is it? It was really, really shite.

I have more H&A questions: How old is Martha meant to be? I remember Roo Stewart giving birth to her in about 1989/1990 making her 17/18, yet she's meant to have been married and divorced? Or did I miss something there? Is she meant to be that young or is it typical soap ageing to suit storylines?

Martha is 20, but according to Wiki she was originally born in 1989 but they changed it to 1987 to suit.

They did that with Anne Wilkinson in Neighbours once when she wanted to sleep with Ben not knowing he was her half brother. You could even see that they dubbed her age - she said something like "what's your problem, I'm sixteen" but what was heard by viewers was "I'm seventeen", when deep down the prblem was that they were related not that she was younger than him.
And I'm sure in H&A the scriptwriters just aged Duncan to suit them. He was about 10 then fell down a mine shaft, was in hospital for a bit then was about 14, and very ugly.

Yes, I was just thinking the other day that Pippa's suddenly aged about 18 months in the space of a couple of weeks.
Also - if I hear Martha say "Oh I love this song! Come dance with me!" one more time, I will pull each of those horse teeth out one by one.

So its ok for the men to go and watch the girls dancing, but its not ok to be the girl that wants to be the dancer?
Stupid summerbay, if people want to spend hard earned cash watching a horse dance about in a sailor outfit let them.
xx

Bad news is Sam and Rory (played by a new boy Rory) are back again to spoil the fun, AUTOMATICALLY moving back in with Jack. Grr.

Oh...Dr Death from neighbours has turned up as Drew's mum. She has a very annoying voice so I was quite glad to get rid of her from N, am a bit disappointed that I still have to hear her.
I'm very fond of Rachel, and wish her a happy ever after. Not gonna happen though is it?
