Anyone else remember this? Was out shopping in town yesterday and stumbled across the DVD Box set for £25. Didn't even realise it was out. I bloody loved this show back in the days when I was a spotty teenager (well a teenager anyway!) Ben Chaplin, mmmm..
I always had a soft spot for his replacement Neil Stuke too, and anything with a failed Eurovision singer in it has to be good...

I loved Game On so much, I even did a scene from it at a cabaret night with my drama group once. *cringes*
CLAIM TO FAME: Neil Stuke comes from my hometown and used to regularly drink in my brother's local. My brother once bought him a pint.

Anyone else remember this? Was out shopping in town yesterday and stumbled across the DVD Box set for £25. There's a box set?! Did you buy it? I have the DVD of Series One I got in one of those 5 for £30 offers. Amen. Actually, I don't really fancy him, but there is something about him which draws you. I remember seeing him in the ITV drama See-Saw, and a few other dramas. He was also in a comedy with Daniela Denby Ashe which I thought was a bit rubbish.

Watched the whole of the first series yesterday. Oh the memories! I actually think I preferred Neil Stuke in the role of Matthew, I think the characters gelled better together, and he seemed a bit more likeable. I am sure it got more crude as the series went on.
Oh and they watch a US Soap called Sunset Beach, but this was way back in 1994!!

Oh and they watch a US Soap called Sunset Beach, but this was way back in 1994!! I'm still gutted that we never discovered whether Oregon went to the prom with Brett or with Jay. I've had so many sleepless nights over that. Hometown affiliations aside, I preferred Ben Chaplin in the role of Matthew. He just seemed a bit more three-dimensional to me than in series two and three - and I thought he was more convincing in conveying the agoraphobic aspects of Matthew's character - Neil Stuke was a bit hammy when he did those bits. I absolutely adored Crispin Bonham-Carter as Archie in series three, he was fabulous. And there was the added bonus of them putting Dubstar's 'The View From Here' as the theme to Mandy's wedding.
