Why the sudden change from cutting to lowering by Currys?
Is it because the only thing I want to cut after watching those adverts are Linda Barker's wrists?
Is it because 'lowering' fits better?*
Is it because prices aren't cut at all?
Is it because cutting is violent and lowering is safer? Linda Barker did walk around with scissors a lot. Maybe the advertisers thought this would encourage small children to be like Linda Barker and walk around with scissors, then, when they're more confident, possibly run with scissors
The horrors are unimaginable. They really are.
Note to songwriters: it doesn't

I remember reading on the Digital Spy forums that someone was seeking advice on what to do because he had registred the phrase "Always cutting prices" to his website. He must have taken them to court or something and I imagine had a great big grin when he fucked Linda Barker over.

I must be the only person in the country who actually liked the Linda Barker adverts, but that is probably because I had honestly never even seen or heard of her before.

The whole thing is just insulting, the idea that Currys *exists* just to cut/lower prices. Pah! Hogwash!
There's also the subtle implication when you go on about how cheap your wares are, that they're actually a bit shite.
And! That non-Linda Barker woman who's still in the ads with the non-Linda Barker man who replaced Linda Barker is about as charmless as 'Connie' of the old AOL adverts fame.
