Obviously the whole concept of advertising is lost on me as I can't remember for the life of me what this advert is for.......or indeed what it looks like.......all I know is it's using the song Hushabye Mountain from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and it keeps reducing me to tears !

I just think 'Ohhhhhhhhhhh Dick Van Dyke!' and wish they'd put Diagnosis Murder back on

It's a very lovely advert for No 7 mascara. She opens her eyes (or indeed her eye, singular) and the lashes are so full-impact that she blows the entire street away. The special effects are ace, and everytime I always think it's a car ad. But it's not.
J'adore The Van Dyke.

I was amazed this was for mascara, and Boots mascara at that.
Such a good advert I nearly went out and bought some of the stuff.

Weird subliminal things, classic children’s films! I too love the music used, very unusual for a make-up ad. Like Cultureslut, I feel all weepy when I hear it.
