Well...I personally would have to settle on the charms of Harold. Despite his dodgyness after the stroke he is the wise oldie I would turn to for words of advice and comfort. What about you?

Mrs Mangle. I think that was her name, she maybe had a husband called Joe? She was the nosey old biddy-boddy in the early days of Neighbours. Helen someone or other, (who was an appalling artist anyway), once done a really bad and unflattering painting of her. She (Mrs Mangle, not Helen), used to kell Kylie and the muscley boy with a perm off quite a lot. I'm not sure how much of the above makes sense, but anyway, I voted for Irene.

I voted for Harold.
But that's post-stroke, alcohol-swizzling, god-hating, mean, pervert Harold.

What about Dorothy, the first of many Headteachers of Erinsborough High to live in Ramsey St. Well, of two anyway. She took in some kid (who may or may not have been a Mangel in some way, as well as Bouncer. And she had a piano, and a true old lady house, not like those false old ladies they have nowadays, with their modern furniture.
Helen Daniels was good too. Although dying on Hannah's shoulder watching Scott and Charlene's wedding was a bit cheesy. She was also the woman who collapsed (in a fit of old age) in her kitchen, only for Marlene Kratz to walk into said kitchen, and not see her, despite the fact that she was lying in front of her.
Marlene should also be commended, not only for raising Cheryl 'Chez Chez' Stark, missing Helen's dying body and having two fit grandson's, but also because she pulled off an amazing round the world cruise disappearing act that puts Lord Lucan to shame.
Martlene it is then.

She took in some kid (who may or may not have been a Mangel in some way, as well as Bouncer. It was Phoebe, who was the school wierdo to start off with. She ended up with Todd who got her pregnant before he got himself killed while running to the abortion clinic to stop her from having an abortion. He later appeared in her mirror to tell her she was having a girl.

I forgot she took her in. Didn't she take in some boy who was related to Joe Mangel in some way into her home. I think it was after Joe and Melanie (hergh, hergh, hergh) went to live in Queensland.

Toby stayed with her didn't he? He was Joes son and it was the original old woman/young boy pairing. (Currently we have max/coleen in H&A, we did have Helen/Brett in Neighbours) Gosh I adored Dorothy Burke.

Lou. I voted him before I saw the last option. My favourite is Joe Scully.

I voted for Colleen. Apparently she's been in SB for ages but I only noticed her when H+A started again on channel five.
Has it got rubbish recently? I haven't seen it for ages I got bored by it.
Also, Helen was ace as. Especially that bit of memory we saw at her funeral when she was the head in the box.
Marlene was rather ace as well. I barely saw her as I only started watching the episode that Cheryl was crossing the road and got killed (someone australian i knew at the time was so pissed off she missed that)
