Shouty, sweary Australian comedian in "Fed up being shouty sweary comedian" shocker. Brendon has made a successful career out of having the phrase "Warning: Some Material May Cause Offense" slapped on his flyers, but it seems he's become slightly fed up with how the character has "ruined his life" so, half way through the show, he buggers off, has a brief costume change and comes on as himself, more reflective, more intelligent and calmer, before having an argument with his creation and apparantly killing him off. Whether this'll last will no doubt depend largely on whether having the phrase "Warning: May Cause You To Think A Little Bit" on the flyers translates to similar ticket sales, but we'll see.
While the second half does threaten to tip into "...and this is me" arseyness, Brendon manages to avoid this, mainly by admitting that it can be seen as this and using the pre-recorded Burnsy to bring up what the audience are likely thinking. More powerful than you might expect, I reckon this'll be up the Perrier this year.
