After listening to Radio 1 all my life, and coping with Sara Cox (even though most people I knew found her really irritating), Chris Moyles has finally driven me away from Radio 1 in the morning.
I've tried various other stations but none seem to do the trick: I like Johnny Vaughan, but the music is fucking terrible on Capital Pete & Geoff just made me feel prematurely old
Anyone got any suggestions on who's good in the morning?

What took you so long? Chris Moyles is a lousy fat cunt of a DJ. He offends both the eyes and ears. Why not move move up in the world and give the Today programme on radio4 a shot. Its very soothing. Just to reiterate: Chris Moyles = Cunt.

Not sure I'm ready ro Today yet. I get my 'serious' fix from the Guardian in the morning, so would prefer something a bit lighter and with nice music. Is that too much to ask?

1. Buy digital radio
2. Listen to Phil Jupitus on 6Music
3. Feel whole lot happier about the world.
4. Realise you never have to listen to those fucking muppets who call themselves Radio 1 DJs (JK and Joel, 'Wes', Sara Cox, Tim Westwood, Dave Pearce, Chris Moyles, Jo Whiley, Zane Lowe - we know who you are, where you are and the contract killer's on his way) ever again.
5. Feel infinitely happier about the world.

I have just got the digital radio, and even better, it is a clock radio one, so it can wake me up in the morning.
I shall investigate and get back to you. A thousand thank-yous

What's the opinion on Scott Mills? Everyone seems to like him. I think he's one of the best DJs Radio 1 have had.

At least Sara Cox never pretended her radio persona contained wit or irony. What's all that 'treacle' business about. I think he's far too smug and speaks down to his listeners. He makes my skin crawl. And he makes me have a very irrational hatred.

I used to quite fancy Scott Mills.
But then I remembered radio DJs are generally personality vacuums who can talk for hours but have nothing to say.
His show is bearable, but that's only in comparison to the morass of shite that is Radio 1 in general.
Radio 4's so where it's at. People called Trixie and Annabel talking about consumer rights issues for fifteen minutes. And they have The Shipping Forecast.

I dont know how he manages it but Scott Mills manages to be irritating, dull, rude and vacuous. His ganess is the most interesting thing about him and thats not saying much. Listening to him yabber on, I get the impression he thinks he's better than your 'common or garden poof' (like me). I'd have a smattering of respect for him if he splashed himself all over the front of Heat Magazine with the headline quote, Scott Mills says "I LOVE IT UP THE ARSE!"

LITA I have exactly the same problem. Morning radio is awful. All I want is a bit of news and some decent tunes. Not much is it? But no, we are stuck with personality (ahem) radio. Unlistenable tosh. I do work on Saturdays and it is wonderful as Jonathan Ross has his show and not only makes me laugh out loud but also plays bearable music. I shall have to investigate digital radios.

Ahhh, yes, one of those looks much more suitable than a strange bearded woman. I can't imgine what kind of a message you were posting that required her as a visual!

It would take too long to explain, and wasn;t even that funny in the first place. It was over at LifeItself, but I can't be arsed trying to find the context!
