OK, so radio 2 is the only thing I can have to my radio alarm to ensure I get out of bed (Radio 1 I switch off in disgust after 2 minutes and sleep in, local readio hurts my head) but at 7am it is this lady called Sarah Kennedy. She is INSANE. It's not just the early hours, it's not some slightly off-the-wall sense of humour (Terry Wogan is also slightly barking but I totally get where he's coming from most of the time) - she just doesn't seem to have a clue what is going on around her. Seriously. Listen. It's worrying, but at the same time amusing, and at the same time highly confusing cos it's early and I can't understand anything.

Sarah Kennedy was once taken off air, a few years ago, for being emotional on air.

No way - do you have details? I can imagine it all too well.

Sarah Kennedy got into serious shit a few years ago for making a remark about black people being good runners. Something about being chased by lions. Dozy mare had to make a public apology. You're right. She is barking mad.

My dad once sent in an e-mail to her about an amusing child and got it read out on air.
That's all I can offer to you on this one

I like her daily song from the musicals, where else do you get show tunes on the radio these days?

My mates Dad insists she is giving out secret messages to field based intelligence officers.

There was something in the papers during the week that said she had slurred speech and was talking incoherently recently.

Gareth McLean's description of listening to Sarah Kennedy is one of my favourite things ever:
