It turns out it's not all Melua after all...
They've just played The Supremes' Nathan Jones and followed it up with You're So Vain.
Do you think they've got the gays on the programming desk today? I'm enjoying it to a worrying extent.

Pet Shop Boys have always been supported on Radio 2, which is really something. And they have Stuart Maconie who is my secret love, and did a legendary Tom Lehrer documentary a while back. It tends to be grannypants in the middle of the day, though.

More worrying is that I listened to Russell Brand standing in for Mark Radcliffe on Monday night with Embrace as his guests and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even chuckled to myself whilst on a crowded Megabus. Something's wrong somewhere...

Is Russell Brand on all this week (well Mon-Thurs) or did he just cover on Monday?

Even chuckled to myself whilst on a crowded Megabus. Something's wrong somewhere... This is what happens to me when I listen to one of my 63 strong collection of old Adam and Joe XFM radio shows on my iPod on ths bus. Or if I watch an episode of The Mighty Boosh on it. Yes, people stare.

Russell Brand and Embrace that last Monday night there = WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. But they played 'De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da', the kind of stuff Mark Radcliffe probably wouldn't play, and that made me chuckle at the shit lyrics for a while. I mean 'when eloquence ties you up and rapes you' - Oh. For. Fuck's. Sake.
